  • Patent number: 11504574
Abstract: A pedal exerciser includes a worm shaft meshed with a worm wheel. A crank drives rotation of the worm wheel through two pedals. A rotary disc assembly is journaled to and rotatable with the worm shaft. The rotary disc assembly has a conductive member that is non-magnetizable and that is rotatable around an axis of the worm shaft. A magnetic assembly is disposed near the conductive member and has a magnet facing the conductive member. The magnet produces a drag force to resist an exercising force when the conductive member is rotated to move past the magnet. An adjustment assembly moves the magnetic assembly toward or away from the rotary disc assembly to vary the magnitude of the drag force.

  • Patent number: 11504572
Abstract: An exercise bar assembly includes a pair of rotating grip assemblies, each including a generally planar frame and a hand grip mounted within the frame for rotation within in the plane of the frame. The rotating grip assemblies are attachable to opposite ends of a center bar assembly along the longitudinal axis of the bar assembly. A plate bar assembly is attachable to each of the rotating grip assemblies opposite the center rod, with the plate bar assembly aligned with the longitudinal axis to form a weight lifting bar. A user-selectable elastic band is engageable between the pair of rotating grip assemblies along the longitudinal axis so that the elastic band resists rotation of each hand grip in each of the rotating grip assemblies. The rotating grip assemblies of the exercise bar assembly allow for the full range of motion of the bicep, and the elastic band creates a resistance exercise through the bicep's full range of motion.

  • Patent number: 11484747
Abstract: A portable door mounted exercise apparatus includes a removable strap mount assembly for attachment to a door, and a cable/pulley assembly that includes handles for pulling the cable to stretch a resistance band that is affixed to the strap mount assembly. The lower portion of the resistance band is secured to the bottom of the strap at an anchor point via a carabiner or clip, so that when a user pulls on the handles, either downwardly or outwardly, for instance, the resistance band is stretched, thereby providing resistance for purposes of exercise. When not in use, the portable door mounted exercise apparatus may be removed from the door, disassembled, and the straps can be folded or rolled up for purposes of storage and/or transport.

  • Patent number: 11471730
Abstract: An isometric exercise system comprised of a network-enabled isometric exercise apparatus, force correction equations, and an isometric exercise companion software application. The isometric exercise apparatus can include force-receiving components, a measurement component, a pivot assembly, and a structural assembly. The measurement component can measure the amount of applied force. The pivot assembly can rotationally transfer the applied force to the measurement component. Force analysis of exercises can indicate that only a tangential component of the applied force is mechanically transferred to the measurement component via the pivot assembly. The force correction equations can translate the measured force into the tangential force transferred by the pivot assembly. The isometric exercise companion software application can present the amount of weight manipulated by the user to perform the exercise calculated using the force correction equation and the measured force.

  • Patent number: 11471726
Abstract: An innovative electronic exercise or yoga mat, integrating a T-shaped mat with a cross-shaped mat, allows an instructor and users to see each other in all exercise/yoga postures during an exercise and/or yoga class session. The mat also prevents a user and/or the instructor from having to face sideways, from touching the floor during certain postures, and from having to turn and twist or otherwise moving about the room in order to see one another. The mat provides a structure for incorporating various body inserts and electronic sensors that wirelessly communicate with the user's personal computing (PC) device. Thus, the mat allows the user to customize the desired mat thickness and detects mat pressure and vitals along the entire surface of the mat during an exercise/class session, providing the user with useful and vital information. Further, the mat offers a mechanism rolling up the mat for travel/storage.

  • Patent number: 11458347
Abstract: An exercise device includes a rigid handle having a lower end and an upper end. The upper end is adapted for grasping by a person's hand, and the lower end is fixed with a shaft receiver. A bottom end of the shaft receiver is adapted for receiving a top end of a rigid shaft that is adapted to receive one or more weights. A weight stop projects away from a lower end of the rigid shaft to prevent the weights from sliding off of the rigid shaft. In use, with one or more of the weights fixed on the rigid shaft, and with the top end of the rigid shaft fixed with the shaft receiver, the person may grasp the handle to perform exercises. A latch of the shaft receiver selectively locks the rigid shaft with the shaft receiver. The shaft and shaft receiver may include cooperative screw threads.

  • Patent number: 11452924
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a climbing wall comprising one or more expandable climbing panels. The expandable climbing panel may be configured so that changing the angle of a portion of the climbing wall in one direction causes the climbing panel to expand, such that the panel provides an increased climbing surface area, and changing the angle of the portion of the climbing wall in the other direction causes the climbing panel to contract, such that the panel provides a reduced climbing surface area. By hingedly attaching the expandable climbing panel to first and second wall portions, at least one of which is adjustable to a plurality of angles, a climbing wall that can be brought into a variety of different configurations, e.g. at the touch of a button, is produced.

  • Patent number: 11439781
Abstract: A breathing device comprises a respiratory gas source for generating a gas pressure for a patient, delivered by a respiratory mask, a measuring unit for measuring a measurement quantity characteristic of inhalation or exhalation, and a control unit which determines the patient's tidal volume from the measurement quantity and compares this with a setpoint value of the tidal volume. The control unit regulates the respiratory gas source such that the generated gas pressure is made available until the setpoint value of the tidal volume is reached. In addition, further regulation of a parameter characteristic of the patient's breathing is carried out. The method for controlling a respiratory gas source with a control unit for a patient's breathing comprises regulation of the patient's tidal volume by providing and applying inspiratory pressure and simultaneous regulation of a further breathing parameter.
