  • Patent number: 8004491
Abstract: A system/method to store and compare computer generated vector lines through an insecure or a secure communication channel. Using an input device (i.e. computer Keyboard, finger, soft keypad, or any other input from body movements, electrical current, or impulses, or input from human or mechanical sound waves) to a physical machine, or through a token (i.e. credit card, USB token, which can be carried around by user), a user enters and sends their unique identifier and reference code (i.e. PIN, password, other secret code) to the physical machine by making a contact or contact-less to the computer system. As part of the enrollment process the user inscribes a pre-determined set of continuous vector lines (CVLs). The CVLs include data points that are collected from any computer pointing device in a specific format, using a push down anatomical technique and are sent to local active content (i.e. a library, or a program, or an add-on to the internet browser i.e.

  • Patent number: 7965285
Abstract: A display substrate includes source lines, gate lines, an output pad part, a fan-out part and a first voltage line part. The source lines are in a display area. The gate lines cross the source lines. The output pad part is in a peripheral area surrounding the display area and is electrically connected to output terminals of a driving chip. The fan-out part is electrically connected between the output pad part and the source lines. The first voltage line part is inclined with respect to a central line of a chip area in which the driving chip is mounted toward opposite sides of the chip area to cross the fan-out part. Therefore, the line reactance of the fan-out part is decreased and the uniformity of the line resistance of the fan-out part is increased to improve image display quality.

  • Patent number: 7956820
Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device comprising an outer display stacked with an inner display and being arranged to be operable in a first, multiple view mode and a second, single view mode. An idea of the invention is to arrange an electrophoretic display on top of an emissive display. The display device may be operated in two modes; a first mode being a multiple or dual view mode and a second mode being a single view mode. In order to activate the single view mode, the outer display is set in a transparent state and the inner display is turned on, such that it displays desired objects. In the multiple view mode, the outer display is functioning as a 3D-barrier. Hence, some of the picture elements of the outer display are set in a transparent state while others are set in an opaque state. The viewer sees a different picture with each respective eye, and will accordingly experience a multiple view picture of an object that is displayed on the inner display.

  • Patent number: 7928965
Abstract: The efficient incorporation of RFID circuitry within touch sensor panel circuitry is disclosed. The RFID antenna can be placed in the touch sensor panel, such that the touch sensor panel can now additionally function as an RFID transponder. No separate space-consuming RFID antenna is necessary. Loops (single or multiple) forming the loop antenna of the RFID circuit (for either reader or tag applications) can be formed from metal on the same layer as metal traces formed in the borders of a substrate. Forming loops from metal on the same layer as the metal traces are advantageous in that the loops can be formed during the same processing step as the metal traces, without requiring a separate metal layer.

  • Patent number: 7884781
Abstract: A method and apparatus for correcting video data signals for addressing an active matrix electroluminescent display device wherein input video signals are modified in accordance with stored electrical characteristic parameter values for each drive transistor (20) employed to control the current through a respective display element (11). The stored values are continually updated to ensure accurate data signal correction which counteracts variations in the electrical characteristics of each drive transistor such as threshold voltage drift, for example. A power line (10) supplies current to n display elements (11). Thus, n sets of data relating to the current through the power line are collected during normal operation of the display, for example. The data is used to calculate updated characteristic parameter values for each drive transistor (20).
