  • Patent number: 6076795
Abstract: In known retaining devices for electric motors, rotationally flexible retaining elements on the order of leaf springs are provided between a receiving housing and the electric motor and serve to decouple noise of the electric motor. The novel retaining device for an electric motor includes retaining elements that extend axially between a receiving housing and the motor housing. These retaining elements enable low-frequency decoupling below the frequencies to be decoupled; on the occurrence of natural resonance when the electric motor is turned on and off or there are shocks from outside, the torsional motion of the retaining elements is limited by stop elements. The retaining device is especially well suited to electric motors of blowers.

  • Patent number: 6076793
Abstract: A cup holder used in a vehicle includes a storing portion fixed to the vehicle, a slider slidably accommodated in the storing portion, a cup inserting hole provided in the slider, an arm rotatably disposed around a shaft attached to the slider near the cup inserting hole, and a diameter changing device. The diameter changing device includes a tracing portion fixed to the arm to slide along an inner side surface of the storing portion, a spring for urging the tracing portion toward the inner side surface of the storing portion to thereby allow an end of the arm to rotate in a direction of reducing an inner diameter of the cup inserting hole, and a cam surface protruded from the inner side surface of the storing portion. When the slider is drawn out from the storing portion, the end of the arm is rotated by the cam surface in a direction of enlarging the inner diameter of the cup inserting hole. Generation of a noise at the time of pulling out the slider from the storing portion is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6065724
Abstract: A cabinet having brackets disposed to support shelves behind glass panes of the front wall of the cabinet in a location concealed behind one horizontal mullion. The cabinet has at least two other vertical walls having a plurality of pre-drilled screw holes for attaching brackets, and at least one shelf which fits behind the front wall and between the vertical walls. Each bracket is generally L-shaped, having a flat vertical leg bearing a plurality of holes for passing a fastener and a flat horizontal leg for supporting a shelf. The vertical leg has two short extensions projecting beyond the horizontal leg, thereby stabilizing the bracket against tilting responsive to weight being imposed thereon. The horizontal leg has a neck adjoining the vertical leg which enlarges to form a broad head. The head is rounded and is of width no greater than that of the vertical leg. Distal ends of the short extensions and of the main section of the vertical leg are also rounded.

  • Patent number: 6044982
Abstract: A lever clamp which can be securely mounted at selected locations along a shelf or similar object includes a body member containing a slot for receiving the shelf, and a lever or clamping member pivotally connected with the body member which serves to clamp the clamp to the shelf when pivoted to an upright position. Items such as a lamp or dispenser, but not including a stop member, partition or banding and binning, are connected with the top of the clamping member to attach such objects to the shelf. A L-shaped body member is also disclosed in which a portion of the clamping member is connected with a stop member, partition, lamp or other item to attach said items to a shelf. Also disclosed are a flex member for the lever clamp which serves to increase the clamping force on the shelf as the load applied to the clamping member increases as well as latching means for the lever clamp and the previously disclosed clamping bookend. A one-piece lever clamp is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6042072
Abstract: An improved structure ceiling fan mount comprised of a suspender frame having a flat mounting plate that is installed onto the ceiling and a carrier fixture with a receptacle extending downward from the center, a suspender rod providing for the suspension and mounting of a ceiling fan and having a hemispherical head section at the top end that is retained in the said carrier fixture, and a mount cover that fits over the circumference of suspender frame. The innovations are that the mounting plate has diametrically aligned and horizontally oriented insertion slots formed in its thick lateral end areas and there is a mounting dimple is formed at the end of each insertion slot. Limit ribs are press formed in alignment with the insertion slots of the mounting plate along the inner diameter of the mount cover and a positioning nib is press formed at the end of each limit rib.
