Abstract: A footwear system comprises an essentially oblong platform formed of an elastomeric material having a first aperture offset from a long axis of the platform adjacent to a forward end. A U-shaped cut through a rearward end of the platform forms a first strap disposed toward the forward end with a second aperture through a midpoint of the first strap and aligned with the first aperture. A fastening member passes through the first and second apertures coupling the first strap and the platform and thereby forming two separate passageways. A second strap formed of an elastic material has a first attachment means coupling a forward end of the second strap and the platform adjacent to the fastening member. A second attachment means couples a rearward end of the second strap and the platform adjacent to a lateral edge of the platform.

Abstract: A portable carrier includes a base housing and a cover member secured to the base housing. The base housing is provided with an internal cavity defined by a bottom wall and an enclosing wall extending substantially upwardly from the bottom wall. The cover member is adapted for selectively reconfiguring the portable carrier between a first, closed position preventing access to the internal cavity and a second, open position providing access to the internal cavity. The cover member is dimensioned to closely conform an outer peripheral surface of the base housing so that in the second position the cover member is nested under the base housing over and around the outer peripheral surface thereof. The portable carrier further includes a child-resistant locking device provided for preventing the portable carrier from being open.

Abstract: A workpiece container assembly includes a container, and a cover having a locking section that facilitates manipulation and gripping by an apparatus for opening and closing the workpiece container assembly. The container is configured to accommodate workpiece(s) therein. A body of the cover covers an open side of the container. The locking section of the cover includes a bar protruding towards the exterior of the body of the cover, a jaw extending from the bar, and a resilient member connected to the bar such that the bar is biased in its longitudinal direction. The container also includes a frame defining an insertion hole into which the bar of the locking section of the cover is inserted. The opening/closing apparatus includes a clamp that can latch onto the jaw and move the bar against the biasing force of the resilient member to withdraw the bar from the insertion hole in the frame of the container.

Abstract: A container for holding a wafer includes an enclosure portion having a top, a bottom, a pair of opposing sides, a back and an opposing open front defined by a door frame. A door is sealingly engagable in the door frame to close the open front. The container further includes wafer restraint means in the enclosure including fixed wafer restraint means and operable wafer restraint means. The operable wafer restraint means is selectively positionable by engaging and disengaging the door from the door frame, and is positioned so to enable insertion or removal of a wafer from the container when the door is disengaged from the door frame and positioned so as to cooperate with the fixed wafer restraint means to restrain the wafer in the container when the door is engaged in the door frame.

Abstract: An improvement in adhesive backed carrier tapes where the adhesion is substantially reduced by using a UV-sensitive adhesive tape which can be irradiated to reduce the adhesion within the compartment where each device will be placed. By reducing the initial aggressive adhesion levels minimally sufficient to retain devices securely as placed, the requirement for a lift pin or pushup pin to assist in removing the component can be eliminated. The principal benefits include substantial increase in throughputs and yields accompanied by proportionate cost reduction benefits.

Abstract: A foldable accommodating box includes a floor having a sidewall accommodating pocket, a pair of end walls pivotally supported on the floor, and a pair of sidewalls capable of being accommodated in the sidewall accommodating pocket in a mutually piled state. Each of the sidewalls includes a wall plate formed into a right-angled quadrilateral shape, a frame plate secured at right angles to an outer surface of an outer periphery of the wall plate, and a plurality of metal bars combined in a lattice shape and secured to the wall plate and the frame plate. The frame plate is provided with a notch for ensuring that when the sidewalls are piled on each other in an embraced manner so that their outer surfaces are opposed to each other, they are piled on each other with the frame plates partially adjoining each other on inner and outer sides.

Abstract: A modular packaging system for shipping and displaying palletized products comprising vertically stacked trays for holding the products, formed tubular spacer sleeves located over openings in each tray such that their hollow interiors communicate with the openings, and support posts inserted inside the spacer sleeves and through the tray openings to lock the trays together. The system is strong enough not only to support the weight of the products on the trays and withstand the vibration and impact forces that can occur during shipping, but to withstand the weight of one or more units stacked on top.

Abstract: An apparatus for containing a food and beverage includes a substantially flat stock, for example, cardboard or fiberboard that includes a plurality of perimeter panels that are folded into a three-dimensional apparatus. When formed, the apparatus includes a compartment for holding a food and a beverage. A beverage retaining member attaches in any of a variety of ways where desired to any of the panels to secure various sizes of beverage containers in an upright position on top of a center panel. The outer perimeter panels are each attached on one edge thereof to the center panel and interlock with each other during assembly to prevent accidental opening of the apparatus. A notch is provided to accept a thumb of a user and a semi-spherical opening is provided to receive a napkin or utensil.
