  • Patent number: 5305225
Abstract: In an electron beam lithography method which irradiates a sample with an electron beam to draw a desired pattern on the sample, figure data representing the shape of an elemental figure, placement data representing placement information of the figure data, and dose data representing dose for each of areas which are obtained by dividing a drawing area which are smaller than the broadening of backscattering of an electron beam are independently stored in a memory as drawing data. On the basis of the drawing data, the figure data is divided into unit figures each of which has a predetermined shape and is smaller than a predetermined size. A represented point of each unit figure is calculated, a dose of an electron beam is obtained from the data set for an area in which the represented point is present, and the quantity of radiation is determined as dose for the unit figure.

  • Patent number: 5305227
Abstract: A gear pitch error correcting system for a numerical control apparatus used for a machine tool including at least one pair of gears provided in a transmission line through which the rotating force of a servomotor is transmitted to a driven member. Gear pitch error correction values for the respective gears, which each correspond to a predetermined gear angle and collectively cover one gear rotation, are stored in a nonvolatile memory. A pitch error computing means (E) refers to a current position register (D), reads out pitch error correction data (14b) corresponding to the current position from the nonvolatile memory, and adds up the data to obtain a superimposed pitch error correction value. The superimposed pitch error correction value and an interpolation pulse from an interpolating means (B) are added together by an adder (C), to obtain a pitch error-corrected output pulse, which is then supplied to an axis control circuit (18).

  • Patent number: 5305226
Abstract: A method for transferring working conditions parameters of computer numerical control discharge machining devices comprises the steps of inputting the machining, editing the programmable ladder, using the ladder to simulate hardware and establishing the I/O port for transferring the working conditions parameters. Transferring working conditions parameters is done by two kinds of signals, data signals and a strobe signal. The number of the output terminals for these two signals are determined by the number of the working conditions parameters and the variations thereof. The ladder is edited in the programmable logic controller of the computer numerical control system and the working conditions parameters are on-line transferred out from the I/O port by using the combination of the data signals and the strobe signal so as to be able to use the least number of output terminals to transfer the most number of parameters and to be fit for all kinds of power supply systems made by different manufacturers.

  • Patent number: 5303179
Abstract: A circuit that electronically simulates a capacitor includes a differentiator and a current source. In the preferred embodiment, the differentiator includes a differentiating gain amplifier that produces an output signal in response to an applied input signal, with the output signal being proportional to the time rate of change of the input signal. The differentiator further includes a variable inverting gain stage that produces a reference signal that has a desired phase relationship with respect to the input signal, such as a ninety degree leading phase for sinusoidal input signals. The variable gain stage is also used to provide for different simulated capacitance values, and to compensate for variations in the differentiator fixed value component. The current source is preferably a high output impedance current source such as a Howland current pump.

  • Patent number: 5303173
Abstract: An adaptive digital filter has a series of delay elements for imparting a unit delay of one sampling interval to successive input data samples in order to concurrently obtain a set of data samples of different sampling items. Each set of data samples are multiplied by respective coefficients, and the resulting multiplier outputs are added together into a filter output for comparison with a reference signal. The coefficients are renewed a preassigned number of times during each sampling interval, and the last renewed coefficients are used for each new set of data samples. For such coefficient renewal, a plurality of arithmetic circuits are connected in parallel for simultaneously performing the necessary computations for the renewal of all the coefficients.

  • Patent number: 5301136
Abstract: In a digital image processing system, a dedicated inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT) processor comprising a controller and an array of accumulators is provided for performing n.times.n inverse discrete cosine transforms. The controller controls the computation of the output vector using a forward mapping procedure. The array of accumulators comprises accumulator blocks sharing an input and a control line designed to exploit the symmetry characteristics of the reconstruction kernels. Each accumulator block is designed to perform a limited number of distinct operations. The accumulator blocks are logically grouped. • Patent number: 5301100
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for constructing a control system and a control system created thereby which is based on a finite state machine with constant code (FSMcc). An input preprocessor module normalizes input signals as required by the FSMcc logical processing unit. An output postprocessor module changes the normalized finite state machine outputs to real signals required by the controlled process or apparatus. The input preprocessor allows for a different finite state machine required for an application to be executed by the same constant code contained in the FSMcc microcode storage. An application logic table for the FSMcc is constructed using a specific organization of data representing application logic conditions. This organization allows the entire application logic to be expressed in a table of a technically feasible size. The size of the FSMcc application logic table memory is greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 5301072
Abstract: A sample data position error signal detection means is described. This invention is suited for use in a digital sector servo in a magnetic media disk drive environment. In particular, the invention relates to the detection and presentation in digital form of position error signals (PES) representative of magnitude and sign of recording head displacement from a track centerline. The circuits disclosed provide a digital representation of PES suitable for direct application to a digital signal processor which controls overall servo positioning operations. The invention detects the PES by an integration method and incorporates the innovation of requiring only two integrators to demodulate a PES having an arbitrarily large number of phases. The invention uses a phaselock oscillator having a hybrid digital/analog phase detector to generate the coherent carrier sequence for synchronous detection of PES. A further innovation of the invention is the use of a fully digital automatic gain control circuit (AGC).

  • Patent number: 5301102
Abstract: The feedback calculation for a dynamic matrix control (DMC) system has been modified so that it can accommodate a delay period between the time when the output variable is measured and when the measurement is available for feedback. This was accomplished by storing the projection vectors calculated by the DMC system and then comparing them to the output variable measurements as they become available. The algorithm was modified to handle planned production rate changes by adding another term to the equation used to calculate the projection vectors. This term involves multiplying the dynamic matrix for a given disturbance variable by a vector of future changes in that disturbance variable.
