Abstract: A container with a taper mechanism, wherein the container is designed to be flexible and is provided for enclosing an object in the interior thereof, wherein the taper mechanism can pull together at least two pulling sides of a tapering surface of the container by means of at least one wire pull to reduce the circumference of the interior of the container, wherein the wire of the wire pull is alternately guided in spaced-apart wire pull guides arranged on the opposite pull sides along the pulling sides.
Abstract: A compartmentalized folding bag, including an outer cover enclosing one or more cylindrical storage compartments, an inner cover including a hollow cylinder passing through the storage compartments, a spine inside the inner cover, operative to raise and lower, causing the bag to raise and lower vertically, and operative to open and close, causing the bag to expand and compress radially, and a locking mechanism that locks to hold the spine in its raised expanded position and that unlocks to pull the spine back to its lowered compressed position.
Abstract: A liner for lining a receptacle has a front panel and a rear panel that define an interior and a top opening in fluid communication with the interior. A frangible sizing seal structure joins together the front and rear panels along the top of the liner adjacent a side of the liner. The sizing seal structure limits a size of the liner opening and is configured to be selectively broken to separate the front and rear panels to enlarge the size of the liner opening so that the top edge margin fits over a rim of the receptacle. In a method of making the liner, the front and rear panels are sealed together to form the frangible sizing seal structure.

Abstract: A flexible package assembly can include a flexible package formed from a flexible material and a lid fitment attached to the package at the opening wall. The flexible package can include a plurality of walls that cooperate to define an interior volume of the package, including first and second opposed side walls and an opening wall. The first and second opposed side walls include first and second tucks, respectively, adjacent to opening wall. The lid fitment can include a base attached to the opening wall and surrounding the opening, first and second projections extending downwardly from opposed sides of the base; and a lid having a complementary shape to a shape of the base. Abstract: A resealable flap device in the form of a sheet, for applying to or incorporating in packaging, comprises: a base layer (30) of flexible material, and an upper layer (40) of stiff material. The sheet is cut (15) through both layers to outline a flap portion (14), the cut leaving an edge in a hinge region (18), the upper layer being removed behind the line of the hinge region (18). In this way the flexible base layer forms a hinge (18) that is easy to handle and does not spring back, while the stiff upper layer maintains the shape of the flap.

Abstract: A package and method of making a package are provided, where the package includes a removable flap portion built into one panel and a resealable flap portion built into the opposing panel. The package is constructed such that the removable flap portion overlies the resealable flap portion, and peeling away of the removable flap portion reveals a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) of the resealable flap portion and also provides a tamper-evident feature. Once the removable flap portion is peeled away, the consumer can access the contents of the package. The resealable flap portion can be folded over the newly-cut edge of the opposing panel and applied to the outer surface of that panel so as to reclose the package and maintain the contents of the package therein for later consumption.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a thermoplastic bag comprised of a front panel and a back panel. The front panel and back panel are generally joined along a first side edge, a second side edge, and a bottom edge of the respective front panel and back panel. The front panel has a distal edge with the distal edge folded over the front panel to provide a hem and an overlap area immediately below the first hem. The overlap encapsulates a scent carrier that provides a scent to the thermoplastic bag.
Abstract: A storage bag including a film sheet is provided. The film sheet defines a first chamber, a second chamber located adjacent the first chamber; and a releasable seal preventing fluid communication between the first chamber and the second chamber. The releasable seal may be configured to release when an internal temperature within either the first chamber or the second chamber exceeds a temperature threshold or an internal pressure within either the first chamber or the second chamber exceeds a pressure threshold.
Abstract: A soft transfer case for contaminated material is provided. The transfer case includes a film-laminated, woven textile exterior layer as a pouch. The cylinder is capable of being clamped at each end of the cylinder. An open end elastomeric bladder for containing the contaminated material is contained by the exterior layer. The bladder includes a seam to seal the open end with the material contained therein. Upon pressurization of the bladder, the exterior layer expands and a restraining force is generated between the textile layer and the clamps. A variant of the soft transfer case provides soft end terminations formed by fold-over regions at fold lines in the exterior layer. The exterior layer is fitted with matching locking straps affixed along a longitudinal exterior. The locking straps mechanically lock together. Lifting handles are also affixed to the exterior strength layer to ease transport of the transfer case.

Abstract: A slider for a zipper closure includes a separator plow that is positionable between interlocking tracks of the zipper closure to open the zipper closure by pivoting an opening end of the slider in a direction toward a notch to position the plow between the interlocking closures. The slider can be disengaged by pivoting the slider so that the plow is outside of the interlocking tracks.

Abstract: In one aspect, a disposable container for hygienic dispensing of a consumable liquid is disclosed. The container comprises a bag made from a flexible, liquid-impermeable material and has a flexible body portion for containing a consumable liquid and a flexible neck portion with a hermetically sealed mouth. The mouth is for dispensing the consumable liquid upon when opened. The neck portion is in a stored position, tucked inside-out inside the body portion. The tucking results in a continuous fold in the bag. The container also comprises a closure for holding together opposite sides of the bag at the continuous fold to maintain the neck portion of the bag in the stored position, tucked inside-out within the body portion, and to shield the neck portion from external contaminants pending opening or removal of the closure and eversion of the neck portion into a dispensing position.

A male panel is attached to an upper face portion and includes three inserted flaps and a female panel is attached to a lower face portion and includes four cuts. Two center cuts are vertical and receive opposite ends of a center flap and two outer cuts receive outer flaps. The opposite ends of the center flap are generally triangular and overlap the outer flaps. The panels are made from polycarbonate or the like. The pouch is opened by pulling a strap attached to the lower face portion. A tamper proof seal is attached to both upper and lower face portions and is torn if the pouch is opened.
