  • Patent number: 9835594
Abstract: A method for automatic diagnosis of a mechanical system of a group of mechanical systems sharing mechanical characteristics includes obtaining data relating to a vibration. The vibration-related data is acquired by a portable communications device configured to communicate with a remote processor. The processor automatically diagnoses the mechanical system by applying a relationship to the obtained vibration-related data. The relationship is based on sets of vibration-related data previously obtained from the mechanical systems. Each set of vibration-related data relates to vibrations of a mechanical system. The relationship is further based on sets of operation data previously obtained for mechanical systems of the group. Each set of operation data indicates a previous state of operation of a mechanical system. Each of the previous states of operation is associated with at least one of the previously obtained sets of vibration-related data.

  • Patent number: 9835673
Abstract: A method analyzes a fault of an ungrounded power distribution system. The method determines a type of a fault in a line segment of the ungrounded power distribution system, and modifies a nodal admittance matrix of the line segment determined before the fault using a transformation matrix corresponding to the type of the fault to produce a faulty nodal admittance matrix of the line segment after the fault. The ungrounded power distribution system is analyzed using the faulty nodal admittance matrix and nodal admittance matrices of functional branches or line segments of the power distribution system.

  • Patent number: 9823303
Abstract: Methods for selecting integrated circuit dies based on pre-determined criteria are disclosed. A disclosed method includes binning tools that characterizes multiple integrated circuit dies based on performance attributes. Each integrated circuit die is labeled with an identifier that represents bin location of the integrated circuit die within a die storage structure. A user can search for integrated circuit dies that matches certain performance grading by providing a performance description to an input interface on testing equipment. A tester is then configured to perform a screening to identify the physical locations of integrated circuit dies that match the retrieved identifiers from the die storage structure.

  • Patent number: 9817143
Abstract: Systems and methods for attenuating multiples in seismic data are presented. In one aspect, predicted surface-related multiples are calculated for seismic data generated by receivers in a marine survey. Estimates of primaries and multiples may be calculated by applying adaptive subtraction to the predicted surface-related multiples. Residual multiples present in the estimated primaries may be identified using multiple diffraction reduction. The residual multiples and estimated multiples are used to generate final estimated multiples that are subtracted from the seismic data to generate primaries with attenuated multiples.

  • Patent number: 9816863
Abstract: Techniques are provided for an image processing device to receive image information comprising image data for a plurality of mid-wave infrared region (MWIR) channels, where the image data is obtained during a first imaging period and during a second imaging period temporally different from the first imaging period. A plurality of sets of atmospheric wind vectors are calculated using differences between image data obtained during the first imaging period and the image data obtained during the second imaging period for corresponding sets of MWIR channels. An altitude is assigned to the plurality of atmospheric wind vectors in each set based on a brightness temperature of each wind vector and a pre-computed atmospheric temperature profile to generate a set of two-dimensional wind fields comprising one two-dimensional wind field for each set of MWIR channels.

  • Patent number: 9808191
Abstract: A diagnostic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) procedure is applied to measure values of impedance-related parameters for one or more sensing electrodes. The parameters may include real impedance, imaginary impedance, impedance magnitude, and/or phase angle. The measured values of the impedance-related parameters are then used in performing sensor diagnostics, calculating a highly-reliable fused sensor glucose value based on signals from a plurality of redundant sensing electrodes, calibrating sensors, detecting interferents within close proximity of one or more sensing electrodes, and testing surface area characteristics of electroplated electrodes. Advantageously, impedance-related parameters can be defined that are substantially glucose-independent over specific ranges of frequencies. An Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) enables implementation of the EIS-based diagnostics, fusion algorithms, and other processes based on measurement of EIS-based parameters.

  • Patent number: 9811080
Abstract: A method that measures performance of an information appliance comprises a test module receiving, from a client, and recording a request for processing of a sample data by an information appliance. The test module sends the sample data received from the client to the information appliance for processing. If a request to a backend application is present, the test module also sends the request to the backend application for processing and receives and records a response from the backend application. The test module sends the response from the backend application to the information appliance for processing. A generated correlation ID is used to update a performance data table with start time and a stop time of a response for transaction sample data processed by the information appliance.
