  • Patent number: 11733061
Abstract: A method for managing communications within a network comprising utility meters, each associated and connected to at least one utility management center through at least one intermediate data concentrator. A message is sent by a utility meter to the destination data concentrator. This message includes metering data measurement reported by said utility meter, its utility meter identifier, the destination data concentrator identifier and the management center identifier. Then, on the basis of several metering data measurements, a metering counter differential consumption value is calculated by difference of two metering counter consumption indexes measured by the utility meter within a time period interval. • Patent number: 11688220
Abstract: A security system can conditionally grant or deny access to a protected area using an artificial intelligence system to analyze images. In an example, an access control method can include receiving candidate information about a face and gesture from a first individual and receiving other image information from or about a second individual. The candidate information can be analyzed using a neural network-based recognition processor that can provide a first recognition result indicating whether the first individual corresponds to a first enrollee of the security system, and can provide a second recognition result indicating whether the second individual corresponds to a second enrollee of the security system. The example method can include receiving a passcode, such as from the first individual. Access can be conditionally granted or denied based on the passcode and the recognition results.

  • Patent number: 11675217
Abstract: Eyewear having a light array and vibration sensors for indicating to a user the direction and distance of an object relative to the eyewear to help a user understand and avoid objects. To compensate for partial blindness, the front portion of the eyewear frame may include the light array, where one or more lights of the light array is illuminated to indicate a corresponding direction of a proximate object. The relative brightness of the one or more lights indicates how close the object is, where brighter light(s) indicates a close object. To compensate for more severe partial blindness or complete blindness, the eyewear has haptics, such as a plurality of vibration devices on the front portion of the eyewear, such as in the bridge, which selectively vibrate to indicate a direction of the object. The stronger the vibration, the closer the object.

  • Patent number: 11628246
Abstract: A patient care system is disclosed that includes a medical device such as an infusion pump. The medical device generates a data message containing information such as the status of the therapy being delivered, operating data or both. An alarm generating system assesses the data message from the pump and generates an alarm message if certain conditions established by a first set of rules are met. The alarm message is assessed according to a second set of rules as to whether to suppress the alarm message. The data message contains a required input for both the first and second algorithms. A dispatching system is adapted to forward the alarm message to an alarm destination according to a third set of rules. The alarm destination expresses an alarm upon receipt of the alarm message.
