  • Patent number: 11373503
Abstract: A system and method of automatically alerting a user to remain awake is able to automatically notify a user of a head tilt or other malposition of their head indicative of falling asleep, thereby preventing the user from falling asleep while driving or performing any other task requiring an alert operator. The method is provided with a headset, at least one inclination sensor, and an alerting system, wherein the inclination sensor receives a plurality of head inclination readings. The method is further provided with an allowable range of head inclination managed by the controller, thereby allowing a head tilt to be detected based on at least one abnormal reading from the plurality of head inclination readings. The controller generates a sleep warning in response to the abnormal reading, whereby the sleep warning is subsequently output by the alerting system, whereby the sleep warning is rendered as an alarm or notification.

  • Patent number: 11359933
Abstract: A method for managing communications within a network comprising utility meters, each associated and connected to at least one utility management center through at least one intermediate data concentrator. A message is sent by a utility meter to the destination data concentrator. This message includes metering data measurement reported by said utility meter, its utility meter identifier, the destination data concentrator identifier and the management center identifier. Then, on the basis of several metering data measurements, a metering counter differential consumption value is calculated by difference of two metering counter consumption indexes measured by the utility meter within a time period interval. • Patent number: 11328599
Abstract: A system for crowdsourcing reporting of road conditions from abnormal vehicle events. Abnormal vehicle events (such as sudden braking, sharp turns, evasive actions, pothole impact, etc.) can be detected and reported to a road condition monitoring system (RCMS). The RCMS can identify patterns in reported road conditions to generate advisory information or instructions for vehicles and users of vehicles. For example, suspected obstacles can be identified and used to instruct a driver or a vehicle to slow down gradually to avoid sudden braking and sharp turns. In some examples, a vehicle can have a camera that can upload an image of a suspected obstacle (e.g., a pothole) to allow the positive identification of a road problem. This provides the RCMS with more confidence to take a corrective action, such as an automated call to a road repair service.

  • Patent number: 11309084
Abstract: A system can identify a first position of a tag in a clinical environment based on first times at which first receivers received a first wireless signal from the tag. The system can estimate a second position of the tag in the clinical environment based on second times at which second receivers received a second wireless signal from the tag. The system determines that a boundary is located between the first position and the second position, defines a path range around the first position of the tag based on an expected movement of the tag during a time interval between the first and second wireless signals, determines that the boundary lacks a door within the path range, adjusts the second position of the tag based on the boundary map, and transmits a message indicating that the tag is located at the adjusted position at the second time.
