Abstract: A meta guiding mode can be implemented on a computing device to alter or disable touch inputs that the computing device otherwise recognizes as input.

Abstract: Instead of displaying interface elements such as pagination indicators side-by-side on a display, a device can present such interface elements in other visible configurations relative to each other. For example, the device can display pagination indicators of different sizes stacked on top of each other. When such stacked pagination indicators are presented as viewed from directly overhead, the pagination indicators can be appear as concentric rings. Alternatively, the device can display such stacked pagination indicators from various different non-overhead angle perspectives. When shown at some of these angles, the stacked pagination indicators can appear as a three-dimensional stack of discs. The device can highlight a particular pagination indicator to distinguish that particular pagination indicator visibly from the other pagination indicators. The highlighted pagination indicator can serve to indicate which of several interface segments, such as pages, is currently being shown on the display.

Abstract: Methods and systems for prioritizing playback of media content in a playback queue are described herein. In one aspect, a client device plays a first media item from a playback queue. The playback queue includes a first portion having a plurality of media items with respective positions that define an order in which the media items are to be played. While playing the first media item, a first user input indicating selection of a second media item is detected. In response to the first user input, the second media item is assigned to a second portion of the playback queue, wherein the second portion has playback priority over the first portion. After playing the first media item, the second media item is played before playing other media items of the plurality of media items in the first portion.

Abstract: A system for providing access to a content platform of an electricity provider comprises an interface operable to receive a request to access content from a content platform of an electricity provider from a communication device, one or more processors communicatively coupled to the interface, the one or more processors operable to determine, based on the received request, a display format for the communication device from a plurality of display formats, convert content from the content platform in the determined display format of the communication device, and the interface further operable to communicate the content to the communication device.

In some examples, the identity of a customer may be determined based on detection of a signal by a personal computing device of the customer. One or more associate users associated with that customer may be identified and a location of the associate user may be transmitted to the customer user. In other examples, a category of an identified customer may be determined and an associate user equipped to work with that determined category of customer may be identified.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing a user interface in a portable terminal without a touch screen are provided. The method includes outputting one of a plurality of menu pages, each menu page including a plurality of icons respectively linked to a specific function and arranged in multiple columns and rows, determining whether a key signal requesting movement is input, determining whether the input key signal exceeds a preset reference value when the key signal is input, and moving another of the plurality of menu pages when the input key signal exceeds the preset reference value, and moving a focus on the output menu page when the input key signal does not exceed the preset reference value.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for suggesting and inserting automated assistants in a graphical user interface for managing communication sessions. A system for suggesting an automated assistant generates a first vector describing a current context of a current communication session, and generates a comparison of the first vector and a second vector associated with a past context of an automated assistant in a past communication session. Then, if the comparison exceeds a similarity threshold, the system suggests the automated assistant to at least one user in the current communication session. Optionally, the system can predictively insert the automated assistant in a communication session if the comparison exceeds a similarity threshold. The graphical user interface for managing communication sessions displays automated assistants in a same manner as human participants.

In some embodiments, a graphical user interface environment is provided in which icons represent peripheral device objects. The appearance of the icons is modified based on attribute values associated with the device objects.

The drag and drop operation can include three actions. The first action can be initializing a drag of an object within a first component of a web application. The second action can be dragging the object from within the first component over a drop target located within a second component of the web application. The third action can be dropping the object onto the drop target located within the second component of the web application. One of the first and second components can be a web component, and the other component can be a visualization component. The application-centric library has content rules that limit files to those that include content compatible with the application. The first view includes a representation of a first file compatible with the application and added to the application-centric library. A system may include a mode controller to enter an orientation mode for a user interface displayed by a presentation device, the orientation mode configured to allow a user of the presentation device to orient an input point on the user interface with a remote device, and an input/output module to receive an input from the user to trigger the presentation device to transition from the orientation mode to a pass-through mode, the pass-through mode configured to allow the user to control an application at the presentation device using a touch point on the remote device, the mode controller is to enter the pass-through mode at the presentation device, the input/output module is to receive input from the user via the remote device, and the presentation device is to pass the input through to the application.

Abstract: An introduction or connection platform is described that improves the performance of a mobile device having a touchscreen by reducing the number of user inputs needed and also the amount of memory required for making connections in Apps that are used with backend databases. Examples of the subject technology include or provide: (1) an application for a mobile device that provides for a simple way to introduce someone to someone else (or multiple people); and (2) a mobile application that provides for receiving as a user input a simple swipe (e.g., finger or other digit being swept across the mobile's touch screen) in order to introduce someone in response to a post (e.g., a person looking for someone with a certain skill and/or experience set). A digital UI model is parsed to determine whether a user interface, in a plurality of user interfaces within a software environment, satisfies at least one UI style guide rule in a plurality of UI style guide rules associated with the software environment. The digital UI model defines a plurality of attributes of the user interface. At least one statistical measure is calculated relating to compliance with UI style guide rules. The calculation of the statistical measure is based at least in part on the determination of whether the user interface satisfies the at least one UI style guide rule. A report is then generated identifying the at least one statistical measure, the report configured for presentation on a user interface of a computing device.

Individual applications are each represented by an application icon on a screen of a graphical user interface for the device. In response to a new event of a one of the applications, the application's icon is visually modified to notify of the new event. A visual modification may be determined in response to the new event, for example, to preview a content of the event. The visual modification may include a count of all new events that remain to be disposed. On a selection of the visually modified icon, additional previewing may be provided. Activation of the application having a visually modified application icon may be configured to automatically initiate the application at the new event.

The previously reviewed portions without the reviewed and unwanted portions are available to and across plural network devices and across plural login accounts anywhere on the cloud computing network.
