Abstract: A method, including receiving from mapping electrodes positioned at locations within a heart, signals indicating electrical activity in tissue contacting the electrodes, and processing the signals to identify, for each location, at least one corresponding LAT in a cycle of a heart. For each location, an earliest LAT in the cycle is identified, and an electroanatomical map including mapping points having respective locations and showing the earliest LAT at each location is generated and rendered. An input selecting a subset of the points is received, and a time range containing the earliest LAT of a majority of the points in the subset is identified. One or more outlying points in the subset are identified, and a second LAT, later than the earliest LAT in the cycle is found among the at least one identified LAT identified at the outlying points. The map is updated to display the found second LAT.

  • Patent number: 11439461
Abstract: An automated laser-surgery system for performing a closed-loop surgical procedure is disclosed. The procedure includes forming a post-procedural goal based on a three-dimensional (3D) image of a surgical site, planning a path for a surgical laser signal based on the post-procedural goal, performing a procedural pass by steering the surgical laser signal along the path, measuring the surface of the surgical site after the procedural pass, updating a model based on the measured effect at the surgical site, and evaluating the success of the procedural pass based on the surface measurement and the post-procedural goal. If necessary, a new path is planned based on the post-procedural goal and the surface measurement a new pass based on that path is performed, and the surface is again measured to evaluate the success of the new pass. These operations are repeated as a closed-loop sequence as many times as necessary to achieve success.

  • Patent number: 11443852
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for using feature delineation to reduce the impact of machine learning cardiac arrythmia detection on power consumption of medical devices. In one example, a medical device performs feature-based delineation of cardiac electrogram data sensed from a patient to obtain cardiac features indicative of an episode of arrythmia in the patient. The medical device determines whether the cardiac features satisfy threshold criteria for application of a machine learning model for verifying the feature-based delineation of the cardiac electrogram data. In response to determining that the cardiac features satisfy the threshold criteria, the medical device applies the machine learning model to the sensed cardiac electrogram data to verify that the episode of arrhythmia has occurred or determine a classification of the episode of arrythmia.

  • Patent number: 11419995
Abstract: Provided is a system (10) for determining a probability of an asthma exacerbation in a subject. The system comprises an inhaler (100) for delivering a rescue medicament to the subject. The inhaler has a use-detection system (12B) configured to determine a rescue inhalation performed by the subject using the first inhaler. A sensor system (12A) is configured to measure a parameter relating to airflow during the rescue inhalation. The system further comprises a processor (14) configured to determine a number of the rescue inhalations during a first time period, and receive the parameter measured for at least some of the rescue inhalations. The processor determines, using a weighted model, the probability of the asthma exacerbation based on the number of rescue inhalations and the parameters. The model is weighted such that the number of rescue inhalations is more significant in the probability determination than the parameters.

  • Patent number: 11350876
Abstract: A patient health management platform determines of a metabolic state for a first time period. The platform generates a patient-specific treatment recommendation for a second time period following the first time period that identifies objectives for the patient to complete to improve the metabolic state determined for the first time period. Periodically during the second time period, the platform receives recordings of patient data indicating foods consumed by the patient, medication taken by the patient, and/or symptoms experienced by the patient. The platform compares the received recordings of patient data from the second time period to the generated patient-specific treatment recommendation to determine a number of objectives completed by the patient and updates a score representing n adherence of the patient to the patient-specific treatment recommendation based the number of completed objectives.

  • Patent number: 11338131
Abstract: A system for guiding implantation of an energy delivery component of a cardiac pacing device at a fixation location within a heart of a patient is provided. During a procedure to implant an energy pulse delivery component, the system receives a patient cardiogram collected during pacing of the energy pulse delivery component while the energy pulse delivery component is positioned at a current location within the heart. The system then determines based on the patient cardiogram the current location of the energy pulse delivery component. The system then outputs an indication of the current location to guide affixing of the energy pulse delivery component at the intended fixation location. This process is repeated until the energy pulse delivery component is at the fixation location. The system also evaluates the effectiveness of pacing at intermediate location to optimize the final location based upon simulated electro-mechanics of the system in near-real time.
