Abstract: The present disclosure provides example advertising device monitoring methods and devices. One example method includes broadcasting, by an advertising device, a wireless signal including a first identifier of the advertising device. The wireless signal is detected by a mobile terminal. The advertising device is sent by the mobile terminal to a server, where the exposure data includes the first identifier of the advertising device. The exposure data is received by the server and from the mobile terminal. It is determined by the server whether the advertising device is installed and put into use.

The content compliance system may force the company to select specific brand criteria listed on a user interface. The selected brand criteria are then readily displayed to the creative agency. The content compliance system then compares the selected brand criteria with content generated by the creative agency. The content compliance system uses machine learning algorithms to generate a compliance score that provides a real-time objective indication of the compliance of the creative content with the selected brand criteria. The creative agency can then modify the creative content and receive a real-time updated compliance score.

The server may also communicate the first validation code to the mobile device for the given retailer to add the first validation code to the first physical coupon, and obtain a second physical coupon image from the mobile wireless communications device for a corresponding second physical coupon and having a second validation code therein. The server may also determine whether the first and second validation codes match and determine whether the first and second physical coupon images indicate a match between the corresponding first and second physical coupons, and when so redeem the first physical coupon.

An example method includes identifying a communication process used by a compromised computing device to communicate with a control server, the control server providing access to advertising weblinks, the compromised computing device associated with malicious software, directing, by an instruction executed by a processor, the compromised computing device to communicate with an uncompromised computing device by re-routing of packets used for communication between the compromised computing device and the control server, the uncompromised computing device is configured to mimic communications between the compromised computing device and the control server using the communication processes, storing information from one or more packets transmitted from the uncompromised computing device, and creating a profile of the malicious software based on the stored information.

Abstract: A method for determining a defection probability includes receiving user data. The method also includes determining, from the user data, a set of features characterizing a likelihood of the user to change from the initial service channel to an alternative service channel. The method further includes generating an input encoding for the set of features. The method additionally includes determining, using a predictive model, a probability that indicates how likely the user is to change from the initial service channel, wherein the predictive model is trained to receive, as input, the input encoding and to generate, as output, a respective probability that indicates how likely a respective user is to change from the initial service channel to the alternative service channel. The method also includes determining whether the probability from the predictive model satisfies a defection threshold and selectively generating a remedial action based on the probability.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and techniques for implementing a third-party item tracking and payment system that enables a user to walk out without a manual checkout process. The techniques include receiving user identifying information associated with a payment account and conveying an identifier of the account to a management system of the retailer. Items, as selected by the user, are added to a virtual cart that is checked out automatically when the user exits the store and the third party system communicates the cart contents to the retailer for cost calculation and then instructs payment using the stored payment information without disrupting existing inventory and account management systems.

Abstract: A technique for collecting environmental data from a remote region comprises use of a collector device with a sensor to collect environmental data and a memory to store the collected data. Collector devices are distributed to locations within the region, and the collector devices collect and store environmental data. Locations within the region are prioritized. Incentives are generated to transport environmental data based, at least in part, on the priorities. When a collector device is transported from the remote region to a location with connectivity to a host system, the stored environmental data is uploaded.
