Patent number: 6966534Abstract: A wire system for use with picture frames and other items to be hung from or mounted to a vertical support. The wire system includes a base that includes a plurality of openings and rotatable levers that include respective internal passageways. Wire is installed through the various openings and the internal passageways of the levers in a manner where rotation of the levers causes the wire to be bent at various locations. With the wires appropriately bent, the wire is secured within the wire system. To adjust the wire, the levers are rotated to their respective open positions to unbend the wire thus allowing it to be freely movable within the wire system. Generally, the wire system is for use on the back of picture frames and other items to be hung from a wall, where the wire system enables a user to easily tighten or loosen the wire in a simple manner.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2003Date of Patent: November 22, 2005Inventors: Peter Kamenstein, Joseph P. Patent number: 6932303Abstract: A cover having first and second halves is used in combination with clamps to cover elongated items such as wires and pipes. The first and second halves cooperate together to form a cavity that receives the elongated items and clamps. The halves may be formed with identical cross sections so that they may be fabricated from a single mold. The halves may snap together or be connected with a fastener. Each cover half includes a pair of opposed locking ledges that form slots sized to receive the opposed feet of the clamp. The clamps are installed by angling the clamps with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cover and pressing the clamp against the base wall of the cover. The clamp is then twisted to a position substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cover. The twisting motion simultaneously moves the feet of the clamp under the locking ledges of the clamp cover.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2003Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: Snyder National CorporationInventor: Darryl L.
