Abstract: A cylindrical burner apparatus and method which produce low NOx emissions and low noise levels without being dependent upon a blower, or natural draft, for providing air flow or flue gas recirculation. A flow of combustion air is induced into the initial tube pass of the burner by discharging a gas fuel from a plurality of discharge ports located in the initial tube pass. At the same time, a flow of recycled flue gas is induced through a bypass duct between a subsequent tube pass of the burner and the initial tube pass by discharging one or more jets of gas fuel through the bypass duct.

Abstract: An apparatus combining a solar tracker and a dual heat source collector includes a heat engine assembly and the solar tracker. The heat engine assembly includes a heat collector, a heat collecting lens, and a heat engine. The heat collector includes a solar heat collecting room and a heat source room. The heat collecting lens is arranged on the heat collector and corresponds to the solar heat collecting room. The heat engine is located in the solar heat collecting room. The solar tracker includes a primary mirror, a secondary mirror, a pivot member, and a driving member. The primary mirror has a first reflective surface and a back surface. The primary mirror has a mounting hole passing through the primary mirror. The secondary mirror is mounted above the primary mirror.

Abstract: An insert is provided for use in a cooking apparatus that alters the pressure profile, air velocity profile, and airflow pattern within said cooking apparatus in order to achieve a cyclonic air profile around food to be cooked. The insert includes a ring-shaped insert body formed by a continuous sidewall. The sidewall has an external surface and an internal surface, and a top end and a bottom end. The insert also includes a deflection plate.

Abstract: A multi-compartment oven provides removable shelves receiving separated streams of heated air providing heating for different oven cavities above and below the shelves. The shelves communicate with an operator automatically closing ducts providing air to the shelves when the shelves are removed.

Abstract: This invention provides a solar fluid heating panel with fluid conduits that allow a fluid to be heated by the sun. It also provides a mounting system and weather sealing system that allow the panels to replace a traditional roof. The roof replacing panels can be installed quickly using mounting brackets attached to roof purlins. The panels can allow natural ambient light to enter the building while harnessing the sun's energy to heat fluid within the conduits.

The ladder filament extends back and forth between the candle wicks (e.g., at substantially 90° relative to the elongate axes of the wicks) and is of sufficient flexural stiffness so as to resiliently bias the pair of candle wicks from a compacted position and into a spread position following release of an applied bending force. A multiple candle wick assembly includes such a wick construction whereby the crossing portions of the ladder filament are bent around an exterior circumferential portion of an elongate core element so as to assume a general U-shape around the exterior circumferential portion thereof and to place the candle wicks into the compacted position thereof.

Abstract: Embodiments herein include devices adaptable to dehydrate articles, including foods. Embodiments are shown which can be compacted for reduced storage, and/or shipping requirements and/or for other purposes. Embodiments include simple, inexpensive means for controlling dehydrating conditions, including airflow. Various article holding devices, including devices to hold foods being dehydrated, are also shown. Such devices include vertical, diagonal, and horizontal panels to secure articles. Embodiments shown have variations which include the use of non-motorized convection airflow, as well as devices which incorporate motor driven air movement means. Embodiments are shown which may be used for preparing articles, including foods, for dehydration, including slicing such articles.

The interference plate may be fixed to the driven gear. The interference plate may include a radial arm extending past the maximum outer circumference of the driven gear. The contact tab may extend from the input shaft and be axially offset from the worm gear segment in selective engagement with the radial arm at a predefined travel limit of the driven gear to halt rotation at the input shaft.

Abstract: A portable indirect fuel fired heater includes a burner assembly having a fuel burner to deliver fuel from a fuel supply to a combustion chamber of the heater and a combustion air blower to deliver combustion air to the combustion chamber with the fuel for combustion in the combustion chamber to produce exhaust gases. A heat exchanger receives air to be heated in heat exchanging relationship with at least a portion of the combustion chamber. A sensor senses an oxygen level as a partial pressure of oxygen in the exhaust gases. A controller operates an actuator operatively connected to the burner assembly to controllably vary the delivery rate of combustion air and thus vary the ratio of the air and fuel responsive to the oxygen level sensed by the combustion sensor so as to maintain the sensed oxygen level at a prescribed set point level stored on the controller.

Abstract: A modular cooking apparatus includes a first interchangeable cooking module containing an impingement oven, a second interchangeable cooking module containing a hot air oven with built-in magnetron, and a single power connection for receiving three-phase electrical power. Each oven has a base load and a boost load. A first multiplexor is configured to direct electrical power from a first phase pair of the three-phase electrical power to either the base load or the boost load of the first oven. A second multiplexor is configured to direct electrical power from the first phase pair to the boost load of the first oven or to the boost load of the second oven. The modular cooking apparatus is configured such that either the first multiplexor or the second multiplexor can direct electrical power from the first phase pair to the boost load of the first oven.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a pelletized fuel delivery and combustion system are disclosed. Certain embodiments are configured to be detachably mounted to the exterior of a kettle-styled grill such as, but not limited to, a Weber® charcoal grill. When mounted to the kettle-styled grill, a firebox is external to the kettle and delivers thermal energy and smoke to the interior of the kettle by, and through, at least one damper port in the kettle. In this way, embodiments of the solution do not require significant, if any, modification to the kettle-styled grill in order for the kettle-styled grill to use a pelletized fuel source. Embodiments may also include temperature loop control and/or a thermal energy and smoke distribution plate configured to be set within the kettle of the grill.

Abstract: Embodiments of a cooking station for cooking a food product are provided. In one embodiment, the cooking station includes a main body and an insert. The main body includes a vertically extending wall extending between a closed bottom end and a closable upper end with a lid. The main body is configured to extend longitudinally in a vertical orientation. The main body defines a lower insert opening and an upper insert opening, the main body including a slideable door moveable to close-off either the lower and upper insert openings. The insert is sized and configured to be removably positioned through either one of the lower insert opening and the upper insert opening, the first insert having heating element container structure configured to deliver heat to the food product.
