  • Patent number: 10917222
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for performing simultaneous time division duplex (TDD) communications are disclosed. A wireless communication device can be configured to establish both a first TDD communication link and a second TDD communication link with a network, such as a telecommunication network. Thereafter, the wireless communication device can send TDD uplink data to the network via the first TDD communication link, and receive TDD downlink data from the network via the second TDD communication link, such that a portion of the TDD uplink data is sent to the network at the same time a portion of the TDD downlink data is received from the network. In this manner, the transmissions of TDD uplink data and the TDD downlink data can occur simultaneously, via multiple communication links. Further, the TDD downlink data can be received in multiple, coordinated data transmissions using Long Term Evolution (LTE) multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna diversity.

  • Patent number: 10652163
Abstract: Multiple listlets function as a single master linked list to manage data packets across one or more banks of memory in a first-in first-out (FIFO) order, while allowing multiple push and/or pop functions to be performed per cycle. Each listlet can be a linked list that tracks pointers and is stored in a different memory bank. The nodes can include a pointer to a data packet, a pointer to the next node in the listlet and a next listlet identifier that identifies the listlet that contains the next node in the master linked list. The head and tail of each listlet, as well as an identifier each to track the head and tail of the master linked list, can be maintained in cache. The individual listlets are updated accordingly to maintain order of the master linked list as pointers are pushed and popped from the master linked list.

  • Patent number: 10602554
Abstract: A method and a wireless device (110) for managing a set of resources for transmission of data to a further wireless device (120) using D2D communication are disclosed. The wireless device (110) and the further wireless device (120) are capable of being operated in a mixed cellular and D2D radio network (100). The set of resources are comprised in a cellular spectrum of the mixed cellular and D2D radio network (100). The wireless device (110) selects, from among the set of resources, a sub set of resources for the transmission of data according to a hopping algorithm for distribution of the sub set of resources among the set of resources. Then, the wireless device (110) sends a scheduling command to the further wireless device (120). The scheduling command indicates the selected sub set of resources. • Patent number: 10517098
Abstract: Techniques for supporting peer-to-peer (P2P) communication in a wide area network (WAN) are disclosed. In an aspect, interference coordination between P2P devices engaged in P2P communication and WAN devices engaged in WAN communication may be performed based on a network-controlled architecture. For the network-controlled architecture, P2P devices may detect other P2P devices and/or WAN devices and may send measurements (e.g., for pathloss, interference, etc.) for the detected devices to the WAN (e.g., serving base stations). The WAN may perform resource partitioning and/or association for the P2P devices based on the measurements. Association may include selection of P2P communication or WAN communication for a given P2P device. Resource partitioning may include allocation of resources to a group of P2P devices for P2P communication.

  • Patent number: 10516517
Abstract: An eNodeB (eNB), Machine Type Communications (MTC) user equipment (UE) and method using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a non-legacy PUCCH region are generally described. The UE may be in an enhanced coverage (EC) mode. The UE may receive higher layer signaling indicating physical resource blocks in the PUCCH region and offsets in a cell- or UE-specific manner on a per-slot basis or, when in EC mode, per-set of N subframes basis. The UE may receive a resource allocation for a PUCCH in a PUCCH region separate from a legacy PUCCH region and reserved for non-legacy UEs. The UE may transmit a frequency hopping PUCCH in the PUCCH region and use shortened PUCCH format to accommodate an extended retuning time by puncturing a first and/or last symbol of at least one slot. If retuning, the UE may drop a sounding reference signal transmission in the next subframe.

  • Patent number: 10448216
Abstract: A network broadcast method using a MAC unicast and an MPR node allows a source node to transmit a data packet to at least one MPR node which is located within one-hop distance from the source node and allows the at least one MPR node to transmit the data packet to each next-ranked MPR nodes. At least one normal node, which is not an MPR node while being located within one-hop distance from the source node, receives the data packet of the source node, which is transferred from the source node to an MPR node or transferred between MPR nodes through overhearing. Although the source node and MPR nodes are in a hidden-node relationship, collision is prevented, thereby minimizing data packet loss to improve the transmission reliability, and enabling the data packet of the source node to be reliably broadcasted on a network.
