  • Patent number: 10593361
Abstract: A method for transmitting and/or receiving a potential aggressor audio signal includes a transmission and/or a reception of successive groups of data timed by a first clock signal within respective successive frames synchronized by a second clock signal. In the presence of a risk of interference of the potential aggressor audio signal with a different, potential victim, signal, during the transmission or reception of the potential aggressor audio signal, the frequency of the first clock signal is modified while keeping the frequency of the second clock signal unchanged.

  • Patent number: 10586567
Abstract: Example techniques may involve managing playback of media content by a playback device. In an example implementation, a playback device receives, via the network interface from a control device of the media playback system, an instruction to queue a container of audio tracks into a queue for playback by the playback device, wherein the container of audio tracks and consists of: (a) an album, (b) a playlist, or (c) an internet radio station. While the playback device is playing back the queue and before each audio track of the playlist is played back, the playback device determines whether the respective audio track is associated with a negative preference. If the respective audio track is associated with the negative preference, the playback device advances playback over the respective audio track to the next audio track within the queue.

  • Patent number: 10547938
Abstract: A method of transferring audio signals from an analog audio source to an audio sink, where the audio sink has a multiple-pin connector. A cable is coupled to the audio source and to the multiple-pin connector of the audio sink, where the cable is constructed and arranged to carry audio signals. The audio sink detects a return signal provided to the audio sink over the cable, where the audio sink is configured to interpret the receipt of a return signal as indicating that an audio source is operably connected to the audio sink by the cable. Responsive to this detecting, the audio sink receives audio signals from the audio source over the cable.

  • Patent number: 10490200
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for processing audio data, such as spatial audio data. One or more sound characteristics of a given component of a spatial audio signal are modified in dependence on a relationship between a direction characteristic of the given component and a defined range of direction characteristics. In some embodiments, a spatial audio in a format using a spherical harmonic representation of sound components is decoded by performing a transform on the spherical harmonic representation, in which the transform is based on a predefined speaker layout and a predefined rule, the predefined rule indicating a speaker gain of each speaker arranged according to the predefined layout, when reproducing sound incident form a given direction. In some embodiments, a plurality of matrix transforms is combined into a combined transform, and the combined transform is performed on an audio signal.

  • Patent number: 10452345
Abstract: Example systems and techniques disclosed herein facilitate interoperability between different media playback systems referred to herein as a virtual line-in (VLI) media playback system and a native playback system. When a VLI session is created by a VLI sender, a first native playback device can join a VLI group as a VLI receiver. As a VLI receiver, the first native playback device receives audio content and playback commands from the VLI sender to facilitate synchronous playback with other VLI receivers. At the same time, this native playback device can concurrently operate as a native domain group coordinator of a native domain synchrony group. As the native domain group coordinator, the native playback device translates VLI domain audio, control, and timing signals into the native domain and distributes such signals to native domain group members. In this way, the native domain group members can synchronize their playback with the VLI group.

  • Patent number: 10445052
Abstract: Media content can be created and/or modified using a network-accessible platform. Scripts for content-based experiences could be readily created using one or more interfaces generated by the network-accessible platform. For example, a script for a content-based experience could be created using an interface that permits triggers to be inserted directly into the script. Interface(s) may also allow different media formats to be easily aligned for post-processing. For example, a transcript and an audio file may be dynamically aligned so that the network-accessible platform can globally reflect changes made to either item. User feedback may also be presented directly on the interface(s) so that modifications can be made based on actual user experiences.

  • Patent number: 10437551
Abstract: Techniques for selective audio capturing are described herein. In some cases, a user, such as a content provider, may select one or more computing processes from which to capture audio data. The audio data may be captured for transmission to at least one other computing device. Code may be injected into at least the one or more computing processes. In some cases, upon execution of the code, storage locations of the audio data are obtained. Thus, the audio data may be captured from the storage locations, and the captured audio data may be transmitted to one or more other computing devices. Additionally, based, at least in part, on a user selection, other audio data from other computing processes executing on the computing device may not be transmitted to the one or more other computing devices.

  • Patent number: 10431217
Abstract: Synchronized output of audio on a group of devices comprises sending audio data from an audio distribution master device to one or more slave devices in the group. In group mode, a slave can be configured to receive audio data directly from a master device acting as a soft wireless access point (WAP) in an environment that includes a traditional WAP. In response to a user request to output audio via the slave in individual mode, the slave may be configured to dynamically switch to receiving audio data via the WAP in the environment without routing the audio data through the master device acting as the soft WAP. This dynamic switching to receiving audio data via the WAP in individual mode can reduce bandwidth consumption on the master device.

  • Patent number: 10423659
Abstract: Disclosed subject matter relates to digital media including a method and system for generating a contextual audio related to an image. An audio generating system may determine scene-theme and viewer theme of scene in the image. Further, audio files matching scene-objects and the contextual data may be retrieved in real-time and relevant audio files from audio files may be identified based on relationship between scene-theme, scene-objects, viewer theme, contextual data and metadata of audio files. A contribution weightage may be assigned to the relevant and substitute audio files based on contextual data and may be correlated based on contribution weightage, thereby generating the contextual audio related to the image. The present disclosure provides a feature wherein the contextual audio generated for an image may provide a holistic audio effect in accordance with context of the image, thus recreating the audio that might have been present when the image was captured.
