  • Patent number: 11920884
Abstract: A universal firearm shield adapted to attach to a firearm suppressor. Suppressors fail to dampen all of the effects of firearm discharge, leaving behind residual effects that may be noticeable. The shield dampens the residual effects of firearm discharge that are not captured by the suppressor. The residual effects are captured by the shield and dispersed throughout one or more interior chambers. The shield easily, quickly, and securely couples to suppressors of varying geometries due to the slidably adjustable components of the shield. The shield is configured to surround the suppressor and axially align with the suppressor. As such, the muzzle of the firearm axially aligns with the shield, the suppressor, and the barrel for an unobstructed projectile path during discharge.

  • Patent number: 11920883
Abstract: A suppressor assembly for a firearm having a receiver and a barrel connected to the receiver includes a tube adapted to be coupled to the receiver and defining at least one port arranged proximate to a first end. The tube encloses the barrel defining a radial gap therebetween. Moreover, the tube extends outwardly of the barrel in a longitudinal direction defining an axial gap therebetween. The radial gap and the axial gap together define an expansion volume around the barrel. An end cap is arranged at a second end of the tube and coupled to the tube. The end cap defines an outlet opening to facilitate an exit of a bullet from the tube. Propellant gases, generated during firing of the bullet, expand inside the expansion volume and exit the tube through the at least one port.

  • Patent number: 11898830
Abstract: Provided are methods and related devices for disrupting an explosive device using a propellant driven disrupter (PDD) that propels a rounded projectile (RP) toward an explosive device. The RP travels along a linear trajectory and impacts the target, including a barrier portion of the explosive device. The impacting between the RP and barrier forms a composite projectile via a solid state weld between a portion of the barrier and the RP distal end, thereby minimizing or avoiding spall and fragment generation into the explosive device. The projectile traverses a penetration distance along the linear trajectory, or a defined-angle relative thereto, to disrupt the explosive device without unwanted explosive detonation.

  • Patent number: 11898589
Abstract: A barrel nut assembly for use on a variety of firearms is provided. The assembly is made up of a barrel nut, generally cylindrical in shape with a threaded central bore, and an externally threaded locknut which is used in conjunction with the barrel nut to secure a barrel to a firearm upper receiver. The barrel nut has an integral bushing on its exterior constructed to support either the gas tube or piston of the host firearm's operating system. The barrel nut is configured so that it may be independently and non-rotationally held within a vice or other fixture during installation of the barrel and while the locknut is tightened to a preset torque to hold the barrel in place. The barrel nut assembly affords the user a method and apparatus that aligns a central bore in the bushing with the opening in the upper receiver that receives an operating system component of the firearm while the barrel nut is independent of the torque applied to the locknut to properly secure the barrel to the upper receiver.
