  • Patent number: 11612398
Abstract: A system for endoscopically forming an anastomosis between two naturally adjacent points in the digestive tract. The system utilizes elongate magnetic devices that, when connected across a tissue boundary, necrose tissue until an anastomosis forms and the devices are passed naturally. Despite the elongate shape of the devices, the resulting anastomosis is substantially round. As such, round anastomoses can be formed having increased diameters merely by increasing the lengths of the devices, obviating the need for wider endoscopes.

  • Patent number: 11607572
Abstract: Using a combination of jump rope, resistance band and boxing fitness instruments, one can get a robust anaerobic and aerobic exercise experience. However, traditional jump rope equipment requires the operator to be in a location that has ample height and space around them to accommodate the range of the rope being swung around the body. In addition, the ground surface that a traditional jump rope would be hitting may not always be ideal such as carpet, sand, and the like which diminishes the rhythm of the workout. The single unit multi-purpose jump fitness, boxing training and resistance strength device described herein eliminates the need for most of these restrictive considerations as there is no “rope” to jump over when in jump rope workout mode. Rather, the operator swings two specialized end handle units in a “jump rope” fashion while holding adjustable jump handles.

  • Patent number: 11565149
Abstract: A stationary exercise device comprises pedals mounted via cranks to opposite sides of a drive wheel; a flywheel with a magnetic rim coupled to the drive wheel; a brake with a motor and one or more permanent magnets mounted for movement relative to the magnetic rim; a measuring unit for measuring at least one of the drive force applied via the drive wheel and the related torque; a measuring device for measuring cadence; and a command module. The command module uses measurements from the measuring unit and the measuring device to calculate a performance parameter and compares the performance parameter against a predetermined performance profile. The command module also can control the motor to move the permanent magnets relative to the magnetic rim to adjust the braking force applied and thereby adjust the performance parameter to conform with the performance profile.

  • Patent number: 11554290
Abstract: A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.

  • Patent number: 11554283
Abstract: An exercise machine and a dual resistance structure combining wind resistance and magnetic resistance are disclosed. The dual resistance structure combining wind resistance and magnetic resistance includes a rotating shaft, a wind resistance unit, and a magnetic resistance unit. The wind resistance unit is disposed on the rotating shaft, and includes blades arranged annularly. Each blade has a notch recessed in an axial direction of the rotating shaft. The magnetic resistance unit includes a magnetic resistance member and a magnetic resistance wheel. The magnetic resistance wheel is disposed on the rotating shaft. The notch of each blade faces the magnetic resistance wheel to form a moving space between the magnetic resistance wheel and the notch. When the magnetic resistance member is moved relative to the magnetic resistance wheel along a radial direction of the magnetic resistance wheel, part of the magnetic resistance member is movable in the moving space.

  • Patent number: 11554304
Abstract: A system that includes an electronic baton device with motion and capacitive sensors. The system includes a processor and non-tangible computer readable media having stored programming instructions thereon that, when executed, cause the processor to receive sensor data from the motion and capacitive sensors, and determine an exchange zone to exchange the baton device between an incoming runner and an outgoing runner of a relay, based on the sensor data. The processor determines relay race metrics for each athlete of the relay team, baton metrics associated with each athlete, a usage efficiency in the exchange zone, and a baton transition metrics. The processor selectively displays on a display device the relay race metrics for each athlete, the determined baton metrics, the determined usage efficiency in the exchange zone, and the determined baton transition metrics in one or more selected graphical user interfaces.
