  • Patent number: 10462647
Abstract: A communication control method and apparatus, a terminal, and a network platform, where after generating a virtual subscriber identity module (SIM) card application request, the terminal sends the virtual SIM card application request to the network platform, then receives target virtual SIM card data returned by the network platform, and configures a target virtual SIM card in a baseband chip such that a user can conveniently change a SIM card only by downloading virtual SIM card data from the network platform using a network, regardless of a location of the user and time. In addition, according to the method, the user can conveniently select, with reference to displayed information about baseband chips, a baseband chip in which the target virtual SIM card data is configured, and does not need to repeatedly detach and mount a SIM card slot of the terminal for confirmation.

  • Patent number: 10405172
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A source user equipment (UE) may determine which subscriber identity module (SIM) card to use based on information of the target UE. For example, the target UE may have poor call quality using a first SIM, but high call quality when using a second SIM. The target UE may indicate the call quality for each SIM in subscription information to the source UE. The source UE may determine to use the second SIM of the target UE instead of the first SIM, resulting in higher call quality for the target UE. The subscription information may include a variety of information related to the target UE, such as subscriptions of the target UE, RAT availabilities for the target UE, etc. The target UE may also configure settings for receiving or rejecting data calls. The target UE may configure whether to receive data calls based on connectivity parameters.

  • Patent number: 10334116
Abstract: A system described herein may provide an interface between a Session Management Function (“SMF”) and a charging system in a wireless telecommunications system. The charging system may generate triggers which cause the SMF to monitor traffic associated with user equipment (“UE”) and alert the charging system when certain trigger conditions have been satisfied. The triggers may be modified during a communication session between the UE and the wireless telecommunications system. The triggers may be configured on a per-subscriber or a per-price plan level basis. The SMF may also cache a number of satisfied trigger conditions before notifying the charging system, which may result in an efficient use of networking and/or processing resources. The unification of “offline” and “online” charging events, by virtue of the interface, may also result in an efficient use of networking and/or processing resources.
