  • Patent number: 11770853
Abstract: A method implemented by a station (STA) in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) to disregard a Network Allocation Vector (NAV) maintained by the STA. The method includes receiving a first frame from an Access Point (AP), determining whether the NAV maintained by the STA was previously set using a duration indicated in a second frame that (1) was received by the STA prior to receiving the first frame and (2) originated from the AP, and transmitting a third frame to the AP as an immediate response to the first frame without considering the NAV maintained by the STA when a determination is made that the NAV maintained by the STA was previously set using the duration indicated in the second frame that originated from the AP.

  • Patent number: 11659095
Abstract: A variety of methods, systems, devices and arrangements are implemented for assessing and/or controlling call routing for Internet-based (e.g., VoIP/VioIP) calls. According to one such method, endpoint devices are used to monitor and/or assess the call-quality. The assessment is sent to a centralized server arrangement and call-routing is controlled therefrom. Endpoint devices employ a decentralized testing mechanism to further monitor and assess call quality. Aspects of call quality are analyzed and attributed to endpoint devices and/or local connections or networks to distinguish intermediate routing issues from local/endpoint issues.

  • Patent number: 11638182
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a device in a User Equipment (UE) and a base station used for wireless communication. The UE first receives a first signaling and a second radio signal, and then transmitting a first radio signal on a sidelink. The first signaling is correlated to a first synchronization sequence. The first signaling is used for determining at least one of {first signature sequence, second synchronization sequence}. The first signature sequence is used for generating the first radio signal. The receiving timing of the second radio signal is used for determining the transmitting timing of the first radio signal. The second radio signal is associated with the second synchronization sequence. The first synchronization sequence differs from the second synchronization sequence. The first operation is transmitting, or the first operation is receiving. According to the present disclosure, both system performance and transmission efficiency are improved.

  • Patent number: 11606225
Abstract: Some embodiments establish for an entity a virtual network over several public clouds of several public cloud providers and/or in several regions. In some embodiments, the virtual network is an overlay network that spans across several public clouds to interconnect one or more private networks (e.g., networks within branches, divisions, departments of the entity or their associated datacenters), mobile users, and SaaS (Software as a Service) provider machines, and other web applications of the entity. The virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the routing of the entity's data messages to their destinations for best end-to-end performance, reliability and security, while trying to minimize the routing of this traffic through the Internet. Also, the virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the layer 4 processing of the data message flows passing through the network.

  • Patent number: 11575656
Abstract: Systems and methods herein provide for a proxy infrastructure. In the proxy infrastructure, a network element (e.g., a supernode) is connected with a plurality of exit nodes. At one of a plurality of messenger units of the proxy infrastructure, a proxy protocol request is received directly from a client computing device. The proxy protocol request specifies a request and a target. In response the proxy protocol request, a selection is made between one between one of the plurality of exit nodes. A message with the request is sent from the messenger to the supernode connected with the selected exit node. Finally, the message is sent from the supernode to the selected exit node to forward the request to the target.

  • Patent number: 11490363
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques and systems for user device-initiated bandwidth requests. In some aspects, a user device determines conditions related to communicating with a base station over a wireless connection. The user device selects, based on the determined conditions, a frequency bandwidth for communicating with the base station. The user device then transmits, to the base station, a request to communicate over the selected frequency bandwidth. In some implementations, the user device may receive, in response to transmitting the request, a resource grant allocating at least a portion of the selected frequency bandwidth for communicating over the wireless connection.
