Abstract: A powder spray device includes a funnel member, a first three-way joint, an air-current supply tube, a discharge tube, a vibration motor, a bypass air-current tube, and a switching mechanism. The first three-way joint has a first opening connected to an outlet at a lower end of the funnel member. The air-current supply tube and discharge tube are respectively connected to second and third openings of the first three-way joint. The vibration motor is fixed onto an outer surface of a funnel body of the funnel member. The bypass air-current tube branches off from the air-current supply tube and is connected to the discharge tube. The switching mechanism switches from and to standby state, in which compressed gas is sent only through the bypass air-current tube, to and from spray-coating state, in which compressed gas is sent out through the air-current supply tube, and also through the bypass air-current tube.

  • Patent number: 11464536
Abstract: A system to treat a patient comprises a user interface that allows a physician to view an image of tissue to be treated in order to develop a treatment plan to resect tissue with a predefined removal profile. The image may comprise a plurality of images, and the planned treatment is shown on the images. The treatment probe may comprise an anchor, and the image shown on the screen may have a reference image marker shown on the screen corresponding to the anchor. The planned tissue removal profile can be displayed and scaled to the image of the target tissue of an organ such as the prostate, and the physician can adjust the treatment profile based on the scaled images to provide a treatment profile in three dimensions. The images shown on the display may comprise segmented images of the patient with treatment plan overlaid on the images.

  • Patent number: 11419711
Abstract: Bio-adhesive textured surfaces are described which allow implants to be localized within a living body. Hierarchical levels of texture on an implantable medical device, some capable of establishing a Wenzel state and others a Cassie state, may be employed to interface with living structures to provide resistance to device migration. Since a gaseous state is traditionally required to establish a Cassie or Wenzel state, and gases do not remain long in living tissue, described herein are tissue/device interactions analogous to the above states with the component normally represented by a gas replaced by a bodily constituent, wherein separation of tissue constituents develops and an analogous Cassie, Wenzel, or Cassie-Wenzel state evolves. Further methods of making molds to produce said devices are described herein.

  • Patent number: 11395650
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for securing sutures that obviate the need for tying knots. Disclosed suture clips can comprise a first part and a second part that are attachable together to secure one or more sutures in a suture engagement region between the first and second parts. The first and second parts can include locking projections and slots at opposing ends of the suture engagement region to align the two parts, contain sutures, and/or secure the clip onto sutures. When the first and second parts are attached together, first engagement features of the first part inter-engage with second engagement features of the second part to grip and secure sutures within suture engagement region. An exemplary delivery device holds a plurality of such suture clips in an elongated shaft portion and deploys the clips successively to sutures via actuation of a handle portion.
