Abstract: The fingertip dental flosser includes a tube or cap made of soft silicone adapted for being worn on a user's index fingertip. A U-shaped flosser fork or yoke is attached to the free end of a mounting arm projecting from the silicone finger cap. The proximal end of the mounting arm is pivotally attached to the silicone finger cap by a pivot pin, ball-and-socket, or other pivot joint so that the floss attached to the fork or yoke may extend orthogonal to the silicone finger cap or may be pivoted to extend axially parallel to the silicone finger cap. The mounting of the fingertip dental flosser on the index finger utilizes the remaining agility and sensitivity of the elderly or disabled, permitting better control and grip over finger pressure, since tactile sensation allows the finger to locate the teeth and interproximal surfaces to position the floss for more effective cleaning.

Abstract: An interdental cleaner has a rod-shaped support which is made of plastics material and the rear end region of which has a handle part and the opposite front end region of which supports a coating made of a soft-elastic plastics material. At least one radially protruding finger which is integrally connected to the coating is arranged on the outside of the coating. A recess is formed in the outer surface of the coating, and the radially inner foot region of the finger is arranged in the recess and is connected to the coating at the bottom of the recess.

Abstract: Provided for are devices and methods for separating eyelashes and/or removing excess mascara, such as after application of mascara which results in undesirable clumps and/or excess mascara. The devices include a pin effective for breaking up or removing the clumps and/or removing excess mascara. Advantageously, the devices include a pivotable pin storable within a storage cavity of a housing or handle for safety and portability. The pin may be lockable or positionable in one or more positions for ergonomic and safe positioning for use near the eye.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for styling hair using an apparatus preferably shaped as a hand having finger like elements that are flexible and can be separated from each so that a strand of hair can be inserted in between two of the finger like elements so that the strand is held in place as its being braided. The apparatus is mounted on a base with a clamp for securing the apparatus to a chair, table or other surface to keep the apparatus in place during the braiding of each strand of hair being braided. In another embodiment the apparatus can have three flexible elements that are generally upwardly extending from supporting surface such as a hand like or other structure so that two strands can be placed in between the places between the two end elements and the middle element for braiding.

Abstract: A grooming system, a grooming debris collection system, a grooming debris disposal system, a portable hair trimming catcher system, and methods of use are presented. The present disclosure relates generally to a grooming system for providing ease in cleaning, efficiency in grooming and debris collection, efficiency in disposal of grooming debris, and the like. More specifically, and without limitation, the disclosure provides a portable hair trimming catching device which prevents debris from falling onto the floor or other appliances and surface. The present system utilizes and moves with the user and requires no additional supports or set up such as a door or wall. In this way, the system provides for ease in set up and storage in a freestanding system. Furthermore, the system also includes a disposal system for further ease in cleaning. The present system also stows for ease in storage and for use in travel.

The flossers can include an inner prong and an outer prong between which a length of floss extends. The outer prong can be configured to insert between the teeth and the wire of the braces while the inner prong is positioned inside the teeth. While positioned between the wire and the teeth, the outer prong can be maneuvered to thereby floss the embrasure spaces.

Abstract: Retainers hold a fiber bundle rotated through a length of the retainer via a gap in the retainer that can be widened by stretching the same and closed by release and further by rotating the fiber. The retainer may be single-piece parallelepiped, cylinder, prism, etc. bearing an outermost surface on which the bundle can wind and be supported. The retainer is fabricated of a resilient elastic like natural rubber or a synthetic rubber such as styrene-butadiene rubber. Methods pass the bundle through the gap and then wind it around the retainer before passing it back through the gap. The bundle may be inserted and/or wound for any length of the bundle and may include spacing in each turn so as to expose the underlying retainer through each turn. The bundle may be held in the wound position for any desired amount of time and then removed.
