Abstract: A motion restrictor device is operable to be worn with a protective helmet to reduce the risk of head or spine injury caused by injurious movement of the helmet. The device includes a helmet-engaging component supported on a harness. The component presents helmet-engagement surfaces positioned on opposite sides of the neck of the user. The component is operable to yieldably bias each of the helmet-engagement surfaces toward the helmet when the device is worn, such that contact with the helmet is maintained as the helmet-engagement surface shifts through a range of motion. The device also includes a brake assembly that restricts shifting of at least one of the helmet-engagement surfaces in response to injurious movement of the helmet.

Abstract: Included herein are multiple pocket systems orientated along a seam or other shared axis of positioning where a primary pocket is provided and a subordinate secondary pocket is accessible through the primary pocket. In so doing the primary pocket may be positioned before the subordinate secondary security pocket and user access to the higher pocket and the subordinate security pocket may lie along the same positioning axis where access to the security pocket is primarily achieved after passing into the primary pocket.

Abstract: A protective device for a head of an individual person. The protective device forms a cap that includes a flexible headpiece and a segmented outer protective shell disposed about the flexible headpiece for distributing an impact load. The device covers and protects the front, top, sides and back of the head from impact injuries and rebound effects of high speed objects as seen for example, a baseball or softball moving at a speed of up to about 125 mph.

Abstract: A U-shaped novelty head crown is provided which includes a single head engaging member adapted to be worn on a wearer's head. The novelty head-crown is made of a light weight material that is flexible in nature so that the U-shaped head engaging member may be fitted on the wearer's head without necessity for straps, clasps, or hooks. The method of design and operation of the U-shaped crown is vital to its new result in that the top of the head is to protrude from the center opening of the U-shaped crown so that the product does not cover the top of the head but rather fits around the side of the head.

Abstract: There are provided flight suits that can be useful for helicopter pilots, airplane pilots, glider pilots etc. Pilots of such vessels have particular needs in terms of equipment and flight suits. The flight suits of the present disclosure allow, for example, for providing pilots with flight suits that are comfortable when worn in a sitting position. Moreover, these flight suits do not unduly restrict movement of the limbs when the pilot carries out various actions such as taking hold of headphones and reaching for the aircraft dashboard. For example, the flight suits can comprise a torso portion defining two arm openings; two shoulder portions that are extensible, each coupled to a different arm opening of the torso; two sleeves coupled each to a different shoulder portion, each sleeve optionally comprising an extensible elbow panel; and a lower portion comprising an extensible crotch portion and two leg portions.

Abstract: A detachable garment includes a front panel and a back panel. The front panel includes a first outer edge opposite to a second outer edge, a first side having a first pattern, a second side having a second pattern, and a fastener located near the first outer edge and the second outer edge. The back panel includes a third outer edge opposite to a fourth outer edge, a third side having a third pattern, a fourth side having a fourth pattern, and a complementary fastener configured to mate with the fastener and located near the third outer edge and the fourth outer edge. A width of the back panel is greater than a width of the front panel. The third and fourth outer edges are each configured to fold over a portion of the back panel to mate the complementary fastener with a respective fastener on the front panel.

Abstract: A suit of the present invention is a two-piece suit (1) including a coat (2) and trousers (3) and/or a skirt that are made from a woven fabric containing animal hair fibers and/or synthetic fibers. The coat (2) stretches more in the weft direction than in the warp direction, and the trousers (3) and/or skirt stretch more in the warp direction than in the weft direction. A method for producing the suit includes: for upper and lower parts of the suit, dyeing yarns of the same quality by the same method and producing woven fabrics that are woven in the same structure; differentiating stretchability of the woven fabrics in warp and weft directions in tentering processing by a heat set in a final finish step, thereby producing a cloth for coat and a cloth for trousers and/or skirt; and cutting and sewing the cloths. Thus, it is possible to provide a suit imparted with a function of high mobility even though it is a two-piece suit, and a method for producing the same.

Abstract: A helmet assembly is provided including a front mount configured to attach to the front of the helmet above a brim of the helmet, a mandible for protecting a portion of the user's face, a lower edge rim mounting portion such as a halo attached along the lower edge of the helmet for securing the mandible to a helmet and providing power and data conduits. The front mount provides a center top mounting arrangement that operatively connects a center top location of the face shield to a center front mount on the helmet. The mount provides frontal bracket portions for mounting accessories. The helmet assembly provides a helmet shell with a curved shape having a surrounding reinforcing ridge. A reeling system is provided for adjusting front and lower chin straps. Other improvements in helmet assemblies are also disclosed.

Abstract: A protective headwear apparatus having a head receiving portion sized to receive the head of the user when worn by the user and a forward extending brim portion attached to the head receiving portion. Further included is a flexible mesh shield having an upper and lower end portions, and a binding stitched to a bottom side of the brim portion with an outwardly facing opening receiving and holding therein the upper end portion of the shield to attach the shield to the brim portion with the shield extending outward out of the outward facing opening of the binding and then bending downward with the lower end portion located lower than the upper end portion of the shield when the apparatus is worn by the user. The shield is sized to wrap at least partially around the head of the user when the apparatus is worn by the user.

Abstract: A garment transformable among two or more configurations comprising a flexible tube and a fastener mechanism. The flexible tube comprises a tube wall defining first and second openings. The tube wall comprises first and second apertures. The fastener mechanism is adapted to adjustably close at least a portion of the first aperture to vary an effective length of the first aperture. The flexible tube is adapted to be worn by a user in an arm-covering configuration. Preferably, the flexible tube is also adapted to be worn in a scarf configuration, a first dress configuration, a second dress configuration, and a skirt configuration.

Abstract: An optical device mounting adapter, and system and method for mounting an optical device to a head-worn article are provided. The optical device mounting adapter includes a helmet mount connector. A first arm having a first end is affixed to the helmet mount connector, wherein a second end of the first arm extends away from the helmet mount connector. A second arm is movably attached at a first point to the second end of the first arm, wherein the second arm has an elongated slot formed therein. A mobile support is connected to the second arm, the mobile support having a pin at least partially positioned within the elongated slot, wherein the mobile support is movable along a length of the elongated slot. An optical device connector is affixed to the mobile support.

Abstract: A welder protection device comprising a shell and a transparent front cover for protection of a wearer of the welder protection device, and an auto-darkening optical filter. The welder protection device further comprises a retracting mechanism arranged to move the optical filter optical filter from an active position to a retracted position and vice versa. In the active position, the optical filter lies inside the welder protection device and in the wearer's field of view, and in the retracted position the optical filter lies inside the welder protection device and outside the wearer's field of view.

Abstract: A garment for therapeutic comfort to the wearer's lower body. The garment includes an outer layer that is usually of color or design in order to be aesthetically pleasing, and an inner layer that is in contact with the wearer when worn. The garment includes a plurality of upper and lower pocket members selectively positioned on the front, rear, outer, and inner sides of the garment, the pocket members each include a chamber in communication with an opening that can be in parallel or perpendicular with the length of leg portions of the garment. Each of the pocket members are defined between the outer and inner sides of the garment, and are seized for receiving a cold compression.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for protecting the external ear from the elements, heat, cold, wind, rain and/or snow. In some embodiments, an ear protector comprises a conforming anchor with an opening through which the external ear may be passed. The ear protector further comprises an insulating outer covering that, in combination with the anchor, forms the ear protector with a chamber positioned between the outer covering and the anchor. During use, the chamber is configured to receive the external ear, with the anchor's opening conformably positioned in proximity to at least a portion of the ear's root. The perimeter of the conforming anchor's opening resiliently deforms during passage of the external ear through the opening and into the chamber, and then conforms to the geometry of at least a portion of the ear root in order to securely and comfortably maintain the ear protector in position over the external ear without additional external support.

Abstract: ‘Flip and Change’ allows users to confidently change clothing without worrying about staining their clothes. The invention has two pieces of silk or polyester material that can be attached to a neck strap held together by hook-and-loop-fasteners. Other materials and fastening means may be used. Once the user has secured the neck strap, he/she may tuck the shorter piece of material into his or her collar or behind the front of the shirt (on the inside), while the longer piece may be flipped up to cover the face. When the (main) garment (such as a shirt or blouse) is removed, the invention prevents makeup from transferring to the clothing. The longer piece of material may include a decorative knot at the end.

Abstract: A protective helmet and insert for reducing the possibility or severity of a concussion are provided. The insert comprises a shock absorbing portion and a flexible liner portion, the shock absorbing portion to be disposed between a helmet shell and the liner portion. The shock absorbing portion can possess a substantially constant resistive deformation force characteristic for reducing the peak G-force applied to the head during an impact. The insert can comprise a plurality of flexible liner connectors for movably interconnecting the liner portion to a helmet shell to allow for the flexible movement of the liner portion relative the shell. The liner connectors can be in the form of vent shaft walls that each defines a vent shaft for providing fluid communication between a headspace of the liner and an outer side of the shock absorbing portion to ventilate the headspace. A helmet comprising the liner is also provided.

Abstract: A head protection system includes an elastomeric cap configured to be held in a position relative to a crown of the head of the wearer. A torus-shaped cushioning chamber is positioned between an outer surface of the elastomeric cap and the head of the wearer. A plurality of cage slats extend from the elastomeric cap between the elastomeric cap in a position relative to the crown of the head of the wearer and protect the head of the wearer from impact.

Abstract: A veil for a swimsuit bottom includes a body composed of a fabric material and configured to cover a portion of a bottom of the swimsuit; and a fastener secured to a top of the body and configured to engage with a top edge of the bottom of the swimsuit. The fastener being configured to removably secure the body to the bottom.

The portion of the garment includes a covering surface suitable for forming a covering for the inflatable member. The covering surface comprises at least one insert made of elastic material.
