Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining pairwise scores for items in an electronic catalog that is stored in a storage device communicatively coupled to a server, and determining when a pair of items in the electronic catalog is valid. A sum of the pairwise scores by activity type for a plurality of activity types may be determined, and the pairwise scores for the plurality of activity types may be summed. A sorted list of items that compliment an anchor item of the electronic catalog may be generated. Items from the generated sorted list may be filtered, and an item ranking in the filtered list may adjusted. Consistency between recommendations of the items in the adjusted ranking list may be determined, final recommendations of the items based on the determined consistency between recommendations may be selected and transmitted for display.

The video content information identifies at least one category associated with each of the plurality of video content. The processor is also configured to identify one or more of the plurality of products or services based on the profile information and the at least one category of the video content information. The processor is also configured to send the one or more of the plurality of products or services to the smart viewer.

The method further includes prompting the user to select coupling attributes associated with a coupling of the original hose assembly. Based on compatibility with the identified replacement hose and the selected coupling attributes, a replacement coupling may be identified. The method further includes generating a bill of materials for the replacement hose assembly and displaying the bill of materials.

Abstract: A shared “universal” virtual shopping cart (“the cart”) may be provided by a host to enable information sharing between multiple disparate electronic marketplaces provided by various merchants. The host may obtain user information via the cart to improve interactions with a user. The host may recommend an item to the user that is offered at a lower price and related to an item retained in the user's cart. The host may also recommend items based on a user's purchase history, such as complementary items (e.g., up-sell items) and items other users may recommend. In some aspects, the host may compile best selling lists based on data from multiple electronic marketplaces. The host may also perform user specific operations such as indicate an item in a cart is a duplicate of a previous purchase and monitor a price and/or available quantities of an item in the cart.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes devices and methods for facilitating specific transactions between a seller and a purchaser. In particular, a computing device an accounts circuit, accounts database, and a network interface is disclosed. In some embodiments, the specific transaction is a layaway transaction. The computing device receives a request to facilitate the transaction between the seller and purchaser. The computing device then sets up a transient account for the transaction, facilitates funding of the account, and finalizes the transaction in response to a condition being met.

Abstract: Various approaches provide for visual similarity-based search techniques that allow a user to provide two-dimensional image data (e.g., still images or video) about an item and search for items having related three-dimensional features. In order to create an electronic catalog of items that is searchable by three-dimensional features, the features are extracted from image data for each item. The three-dimensional features can be extracted using a trained model, such as a trained neural network or other machine learning-based approach. Thus, three-dimensional features of items in the electronic catalog can be determined and used to select or rank the items in response to a visual search query based on determined three-dimensional features of the query item. For example, three-dimensional features of the query item can be used to query the electronic catalog of items, in which items having visual attributes of similar three-dimensional features are selected and returned as search results.
