In addition, included is a plurality of particulate items loosely disposed within each of the first and second chambers and a structure for removable engagement positioned adjacent to the first and second margins. The removable engagement structure facilitates the first and second margins to be removably engaged allowing the surrounding sidewall to envelope the article. The primary interior can be evacuated, thus removing the air spaces between the particulate items and in the interior resulting in rigidifying the surrounding sidewall, thus protecting the article.

Abstract: An automatic opening-and-closing discharging structure for a loose powder jar in which a discharging porous face can be automatically opened and closed based on a makeup demand. In this design, overlapped fixed and movable trough plates having opposite discharging porous faces are arranged at a filling port of a jar body. Long and short arc grooves are disposed oppositely at an external perimeter of the porous face of the fixed trough plate, wherein an elastic member is disposed in each long arc groove. Convex inserted columns are inserted at the bottom of the movable trough plate corresponding to the positions of the long and short arc grooves, so as to form a rotation control guide. Convex points are preset on a top-edge ring plate of the movable trough plate, so that when a jar cover is locked, the discharging is closed by dislocation and disconnection of the porous faces as the cover body rotates.

Abstract: The present invention provides causing a plurality of filling chambers to be opened and mixing agents inside the filling chambers using user's general operation between taking out a packed multi-chamber container and mounting the container on a device. The user's general operation includes operations for taking out a packed multi-chamber container and removing the package, for unfolding the multi-chamber container typically folded in two, for mounting i.e. hanging the unfolded multi-chamber container on the device, and the like.

Abstract: A port and closure device for a vessel that is configured for use with a glove bag. The port comprising includes a first annular flange with an opening, a second annular flange disposed a predetermined distance from the first flange and also having an opening, and a seal ring disposed adjacent the first annular flange and having an additional opening. At least a portion of the openings are aligned so that a path is provided through the flanges and the seal ring. A slideable door is included in the port between the seal ring and the second annular flange. The slideable door has a first position that obstructs the path and a second position that is outside of the path. Springs are disposed between the first flange and the seal ring that urge the seal ring toward the slideable door. To reduce contamination sites, the springs may be sealed within an annular interface between the first annular flange and the seal ring.

Abstract: A pillbox that can be used with a portable electronic device (“PED”) such as a cellular telephone or personal digital assistant includes a generally cubic body portion that is attached to one end of a PED. The body portion defines a compartment within which medication can be placed. Preferably, an extension projects from one wall of the body portion and the extension is connected to the PED. The body portion preferably conforms generally to the contour of the PED. A door is connected to the body portion to permit selective access to the compartment. Other embodiments of the invention include a holster within which the PED can be inserted. In some of the embodiments, the door defines the medication-storage compartment.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method and a basket for use with a golf ball range picker having a support frame. The basket may include a pair of inwardly offset handles in the basket side walls for ease of lifting when a series of two or more like baskets are arranged in a closely spaced side by side configuration. A pair of front edges of front side wall sections are each tapered outwardly toward the front to minimize or at least greatly reduce the surface area formed by abutting vertical edges with a like basket, to help guide the golf balls being thrown by the range picker into the baskets, and not deflect them inadvertently away from entering the baskets by otherwise providing thick abutting vertical edges which could block the path of travel of the golf balls. A front flange is disposed substantially along the entire length of the front of the basket for resting securely on a front portion of the support frame, and a rear flange is adapted for resting securely on a back portion of the support frame.

A secondary housing is removably held within the main housing and holds various implements such as catheters, swabs, alcohol, syringes and vials, waste receptacles, gauze, etc. The main housing can be secured to an IV post or operating room bed rail with the secondary housing held therein, or the secondary housing can be deployed and secured separately.

The case could also include a notch disposed on an interior surface of an elongated tube to receive a groove disposed on an exterior surface of an insert disposed within a second end of the tube. The case could further include a protrusion on an interior surface of the insert that is disposed along a surface of the lipstick refill.

Abstract: A blister package and method of removing a dosage form from a blister package are disclosed. In one embodiment, the blister package includes a unitary blister sheet and a unitary sheet of lidding material. The lidding sheet is peelably sealed to the blister sheet, and includes unsealed areas for facilitating the peeling of the lidding material from the blister sheet. The unsealed areas are preferably only accessible upon a bending of the blister package.

Abstract: A case for electronic devices having buttons may include button mechanisms that allow the case slide over an electronic device without impacting the buttons. Each button mechanism may include a sheet spring that biases the button mechanism away from the buttons. When a user presses the button mechanism, the button mechanism may transmit force from the user to one of the buttons and actuate that button. One type of button mechanism may transmit force that actuates a single push-button. A second type of button mechanism may transmit forces that actuate a rocker switch with two actuation modes such as a volume rocker with a volume up mode and a volume down mode. The button mechanisms may be configured to provide tactile feedback to the user that is similar to the tactile feedback of the electronic device's buttons when the electronic device is not mounted in the case.

Abstract: A sharps disposal system for safely collecting and disposing of medical sharps includes a cabinet defining an enclosure for receiving a removable used sharps receptacle therein. The cabinet includes a passageway through which sharps may be deposited in the sharps receptacle. A single lock, double door design facilitates safe removal and disposal of sharps deposited in the sharps receptacle.

Abstract: The apparatus and method of the present invention provide for the simple and accurate dispensing of articles, particularly solid oral medication. The apparatus of the present invention according to one embodiment comprises a holder device, in which said holder device comprises a bottom surface, a sidewall engaging said bottom surface, a pair of radial walls adjoining a center of said bottom surface and said sidewall, and a sloped slide adjoining said pair of radial walls. In a preferred embodiment, the holder device further comprises seven pairs of radial walls to correspond with each day of the week. The present invention also includes a plurality of compartments within each pair of radial walls, which correspond to the time periods during which medication must be taken during a single day. Each compartment according to this embodiment contains a sloped slide.

Abstract: The invention is a beverage container holder sized to secure a beverage container with a variance in diameters, with frictional fin appendages securing the beverage container in the cup holder. The holder is composed of a soft, flexible, non-slip material. The holder is surrounded by a stabilizer to enhance stability and protect from liquid spills. The bottom is also textured to provide a sticky surface that does not readily slip over flat surfaces.
