  • Patent number: 10273052
Abstract: A container having walls, one having a projection including a hook and an exterior surface opposite the hook having an external contact location, the hook extending away from the contact surface, the contact location disposed interiorly of the hook. The container includes a door, and a latch coupled to the door by a spring. The latch comprises a catch and a binding arm, and has a contact surface positioned to fit the projection between the catch and contact surface. The latch has a locked position in which the catch and hook maintain the door in the closed position, and an unlocked position in which the door is movable. The spring biases the latch into the locked position. Sufficient pressure on the latch overcomes the biasing to achieve the unlocked position, to allow the open position to be attained. When in the locked position, the contact surface faces the contact location.

  • Patent number: 10233008
Abstract: A container for preserving the freshness of a stored food product is disclosed. The container has a receptacle with a piston and seal arrangement that creates a variable volume for food storage. A vent and seal arrangement allows for the removal of air as the piston is moved within the receptacle to reduce the volume within. A removable engaging member pushes the piston upward in order to reduce the inner volume of the container as the food stored in the container is consumed. This reduction in space and associated removal of air inhibit the oxidation and spoilage of many popular foods such as guacamole. With the engaging member removed, the container is also useful for serving the stored food product.

  • Patent number: 10227168
Abstract: A liquid container lid includes a seal arm assembly that stages opening and closing of a vent hole relative to a drink hole so that vapor within the liquid container may be vented to the atmosphere before the drink hole is opened. The liquid container lid and seal arm assembly reduce or eliminate the possibility of a consumer being injured by the hot vapor exiting through the drink hole due to excess gas pressure within the liquid container. The seal arm assembly is operatively connected to a cap of the liquid container lid so that the seal arm assembly is actuated by rotation of the cap. As the cap is turned in one direction, the seal arm assembly opens the vent hole before opening the drink hole. As the cap is turned in a second direction, the seal arm assembly closes the drink hole before closing the vent hole.
