Abstract: A package includes a first pouch and either a second pouch or a cover, where the pouches are configured to contain a product, such as a food product, and attached relative to each other about a hinge. The package includes at least one closure flap. The first and second pouches or first pouch and cover are movable about the hinge from a closed position where access is at least partially blocked by the closure flap toward an open position where the closure flap is separated to allow greater access. Methods of manufacturing such packages are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a package for smoking articles comprising a container portion (2) and a lid (3) hingedly connected to the container portion (2) about a hinge line (5). The container portion (2) has an inner frame (19) and an outer frame (18). The lid (3) includes an end portion (15) and a lid wall (12) extending from the end portion (15) that overlaps a container wall (6) of the container portion (2) when closed, the container wall (6) having a locking element (27) that locates over a corresponding locking part (35) on the lid wall (12) and a recess (24) formed in the inner frame (19) extending from an upper edge (20) of the inner frame (19). In one embodiment, a lower edge (25) of the recess (24) is spaced further from the upper edge (20) of the container wall (6) than the locking element (27). In another embodiment, the recess (24) extends into the second container wall (8).

Abstract: A beverage carrier for holding, storing, and carrying beverages is provided. The carrier has a handle and six or more individually detachable sleeves arranged in two rows on each side of the handle. When a sleeve is detached from the carrier, with a beverage remaining within the sleeve, the sleeve serves as an insulating device for the beverage. The beverage carrier is manufactured from a template, which is a single, continuous piece of generally flat material such as cardboard or paperboard. The end sleeves of each row of sleeves is attached directly to the handle, and the middle sleeves are attached to the handle via a hinge that allows the middle sleeves to be folded into place between the end sleeves. The hinges allow the template to be made from a single piece of material without any overlapping material. Because the carrier is made from such a template, a high volume of carriers can be manufactured using automated machinery.

Abstract: A food and condiment kit comprising a container with a top, a bottom, and an interior. A tray coupled to the top of the container includes at least one opening to receive a cup with a first end facing the bottom of the container. A ring with an interior edge and a plurality of clasps disposed around the interior edge is coupled to the first end of the cup. A cutting mechanism coupled to the ring protrudes towards the first end of the cup. A lining covers the open end of the cup sealing the contents of the cup from the contents of the container until the cup is rotated around the cutting mechanism to cut the lining and thereby release the contents therein.

Abstract: In some of the embodiments described, a display apparatus can be applied to a package to facilitate hanging of the package. The display apparatus may also seal the package. In some embodiments, the display apparatus has three flat panel-like branches, where an upper branch protrudes upwards and has a hole from which the display apparatus can be hung, a lower branch protrudes downwards and can be affixed to a tuck flap of a package top, and a closure branch can be rotated downwards to be affixed to an exterior face of the side of the package, thereby sealing it. When the upper branch is hung from a support, the lower branch and closure branch support the package by their affixation thereto, thereby facilitating its display.

Abstract: Packaging structures that are adapted for insertion into an outer container and containers including packaging structures are disclosed. The packaging structures include a support frame including at least a platform panel having first and second opposed faces, the support frame further including an article-loading aperture. A flexible sheet overlies at least a portion of the first face of the platform panel and the article-loading aperture. An article-receiving area between the flexible sheet and the platform panel is accessible to an article only by loading through the article-loading aperture.

Abstract: A child-resistant package comprises a carton and a tray removably slidably receivable in the carton with a releasable locking mechanism. A laterally displaceable locking tab is biased to extend outwardly from the tray, and the carton has an inner wall disposed interiorly of, spaced from and adjacent to an outer wall of the carton. A locking slot is formed in the inner wall for releasably receiving the locking tab and the outer wall has an inwardly depressible button adjacent the inner wall and in registration with the locking slot. When in registration with the locking slot, the locking tab moves into the locking slot, engaging an edge of the locking slot to resist withdrawal of the tray from the carton. Pushing the button inwardly pushes the locking tab out of the locking slot, enabling the locking tab to slide along the inner wall of the carton for withdrawing the tray.

The wire has a plastic ductility of over 20% in reduction in area (RA) at tensile fracture. The metal wire (21) is made of steel or nickel or titanium or their respective alloys. The core (10) of the vessel (2) is first wrapped with a resin covered ceramic fibers such as carbon, fiberglass and subsequently wrapped with the metal wire (21) with or without other fibers (22). The metal wires (21) can be of different diameters in parallel or cabled forms.

Abstract: A refuse container has a bin defining a cavity and a lid selectively inhibiting access to the cavity. A pair of opposing brackets is located below the lid. The brackets are in laterally spaced relationship such that a space is located between portions of the brackets. Each bracket has opposing inner and outer face portions with an interior gap formed between therebetween. The interior gap is fluidly isolated from the cavity. A rib is located within the interior gaps such that each rib extends inwardly relative to the space between the brackets. A retention bar is coupled to each bracket and spans the space from one bracket to the other bracket wherein opposing ends of the retention bar extend into the interior gap of each bracket, and an exposed portion of the retention bar spans the space between the brackets. The end portions of the retention bar abut the ribs.

At least one top flap is respectively foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels. The at least one top flap at least partially forms a closed top end of the carton. A reclosable lid is positionable between an open position and a closed position. The reclosable lid comprises a central panel that is foldably connected to the at least one top flap. The reclosable lid can be downwardly folded relative to the at least one top flap in the closed position.

Abstract: A clamshell container has a lid connected to a base by an integral hinge. The lid has a perimeter projecting member which engages with a peripheral base sealing wall in a closed configuration so that it is difficult for a user to open the container without tearing the lid along a weakened region of material along the hinge. To aid in resisting undetectable tampering, the container has a post which projects from the side wall and extends less than the length of the side wall within the container. The post has an engaging wall which faces towards a base sealing wall and which is spaced from the sealing wall to define a gap which receives the closed lid's projecting member. Distortion of the closed container which tends to urge the lid projecting member away from the base sealing wall engages it with the post engaging wall to resist tampering.

Abstract: A disposable cartridge for holding compressed medical gas includes a substantially cylindrical canister. The canister is delivered by an elongate cylindrical body that is tapered to a reduced diameter end portion having a discharge port or opening formed therein. The discharge port is covered by a pierceable tip that seals the canister to hold compressed medical gas with an interior chamber of the canister. The tip is selectively punctured to discharge the medical gas through the opening for use in a medical procedure.

Abstract: In one embodiment a fluid container includes a housing having a chamber therein for holding a fluid and an outlet from the chamber; and a cap capping the outlet. The cap includes a contact surface thereon contacting an interior surface of the outlet and a void therein adjacent to the contact surface such that a portion of the cap underlying the contact surface may flex into the void.

Abstract: Cement finishing tool cover is provided that is configured to cover a cement-finishing tool having a bundle of fibers affixed to a frame at one. The case having a pair of spaced opposite substantially parallel face panels having an inside surface and an outside surface. At least one of said inside surface of the pair of spaced opposite substantially parallel face panels is equipped with a hanging element that is designed to engage at least portion of the frame of the cement finishing tool so as to prevent the bundle of fibers from coming in contact with a surface when the case is placed on a surface. This protects the fibers from becoming disfigured and adversely affecting the finishing of a cement surface when used.

Abstract: A lid and closure member assembly for placement on a container is provided. The lid includes a cover portion, an access port and an elongated channel defined in the cover portion. The channel may include two opposing side walls, two opposing end walls and a bottom. The channel's side walls can each include an inwardly-projecting lip forming an undercut for slidably receiving a portion of the closure member. The closure member includes an access port cap, a retainer slidably received within the channel and a strap extending between the access port cap and the retainer. The closure member is selectively movable between open and closed positions. The access port cap may cover the access port when the retainer is in a first position within the channel or may be at least partially received within the channel when the retainer is in a second position within the channel.
