  • Patent number: 10408362
Abstract: A flow control valve includes a valve body having an bore and a plurality of fluid ports in communication with the bore. A valve spool is axially slidably disposed in the valve body, and an end portion of an end of the valve spool has a convex curved surface. A linear actuator is disposed at one end of the valve body and includes an armature slidable along an axial direction of the valve spool. The armature includes a head portion having a convex curved surface configured to abut against the end portion of the valve spool. The engagement structure between the valve spool and the armature of the flow control valve is improved, which enables the valve spool and the armature to be automatically aligned. This reduces the precision requirement of contact between the valve spool and armature, which facilitates mass production and reduces cost of the valves.

  • Patent number: 10371286
Abstract: A valve assembly includes a valve body with an upstream inlet, a downstream outlet, and first and second valve elements located between them and engageable with and disengageable from first and second valve seats, respectively. The first valve seat has a diameter which is less than that of the second valve seat. An actuator is operable to engage and disengage the valve elements with the valve seats to close and open the valve assembly. The assembly is configured to provide a first flow path from the inlet to the outlet when the first valve element is disengaged from the first valve seat and to provide a second flow path from the inlet to the outlet when the second valve element is disengaged from the second valve seat. Upon operation of the actuator to open the valve, initially the first valve element disengages from the first valve seat to permit fluid flow through the first flow path in order to equalize upstream and downstream pressure on the second valve element.

  • Patent number: 10337625
Abstract: A slide flow distributor to direct and modulate a gaseous fluid, in inlet and outlet. This regulation is carried out by means of a spool, which conveys compressed air in a determined charging direction and puts in communication the other chamber with the environment at the same time. This is a servo-actuator which can be used in the field of pneumatic systems of valve actuation. It has a specific pneumatic servo-actuating system using compressed air. This distributor uses a linear motor using a new pneumatic servo-actuator which generates a force in the same direction of the axial force of the motor, with the result that the spool is accelerated in a predetermined direction. The pneumatic servo-actuator is made of a profiled body, a plurality of balls and corresponding elastic means which press the plurality of balls on the side surface of the profiled body.

  • Patent number: 10337638
Abstract: The disclosure provides devices and methods for controlling the actuation rates of SPM valves by bi-directionally controlling the fluid which actuates the valve or by maintaining enclosed volumes which communicate with each other through predetermined restrictions as the valve actuates. These enclosed volumes can be completely isolated, depth compensated, share fluid with the pilot actuating fluid, or utilize the main system fluid. The restrictions can be modified to increase or decrease the actuation rates of the SPM valve. The disclosure also provides control over the main system fluid passage opening and closing positions as well as how rapidly the flow passage areas increase or decrease while opening or closing the valve.
