A spacer has a through bore, a first end, and a second end, and is sized for insertion in the bore of the plug base and has a conical shape to engage the first seat, and the spacer also forms a second seat. A plug tip has a through bore and a conical end engaging the second seat and is arranged to engage the valve seat, and a cap screw extends through the plug tip and the spacer to mechanically secure the plug tip to the plug base.
