Abstract: A facsimile communication device includes circuitry to count, for each of one or more facsimile numbers, at least one of the number of facsimile transmission times and the number of output times that is stored in association with a corresponding one of the one or more facsimile numbers. The circuitry determines whether registration of a specified facsimile number for unwanted facsimile is reasonable to be performed, based on at least one of the number of facsimile transmission times associated with the specified facsimile number and the number of output times associated with the specified facsimile number. The specified facsimile number is included in the one or more facsimile numbers. The circuitry registers the specified facsimile number for the unwanted facsimile in response to determining that the registration of the specified facsimile number for the unwanted facsimile is reasonable to be performed.
Abstract: A system and method for printing large files from a memory constrained mobile device analyzes image files to determine whether decompressing them for display or printing would result in image data exceeding device capacity. If not, the image data is displayed on the device and sent to a printer. If so, metadata in the image files is altered such that image data is generated at a lower resolution before decompression for displaying and printing.

Abstract: An image forming device includes an image forming unit performing image forming, a notifier playing a voice guidance of a service related to image forming for a user, a display that displays a message to a user, and a controller controlling the image forming unit, the notifier, and the display. The controller allows the notifier to start the voice guidance to perform image forming services. When the service is for the first time to a user, the controller allows the display to transition to the next screen after the voice guidance is played to the end, and on the other hand, when the service is repeated for the second or subsequent times to a user, the controller allows the notifier to stop playing the voice guidance halfway after screen transition to the next screen becomes possible, and then the controller allows the display to transition to the next screen.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling multiple URLs generated or obtained upon scanning multiple documents to one or more cloud locations. The one or more cloud locations may be different or may be the same. The method includes receiving multiple URLs generated for multiple scanned documents stored at the one or more cloud locations. Upon receiving, each URL is analyzed to identify a keyword relevant for each URL. Based on the identified keywords, a new single URL is created to access multiple scanned documents placed at the one or more cloud locations. The new single URL is created such that the new single URL when accessed by the user allows the user to access multiple scanned documents at the same time without needing the user to access multiple URLs. This way, the user can access multiple scanned documents through a single URL i.e., the new single URL.
Abstract: The supporting program, which is executable by a CPU of a PC, corresponds to a printer connected to the PC. The supporting program causes the CPU to obtain a capability value concerning a capability of the printer and provide, for a general-use printing program, information for determining a capability of the printer based on the obtained capability value. Abstract: A web application of a scan system provides confirmation data associated with a scan data destination to a post source of a scan-related message through a message sharing system. An image processing apparatus transmits scan data and the input confirmation data to the web application. When the input data transmitted from the image processing apparatus is stored as the confirmation data in the storage, the web application posts the scan data to the destination associated with the confirmation data using the message sharing system.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus capable of resetting the system when a sub CPU abnormally operates. A controller includes a main CPU for controlling operation of the system and a sub CPU for controlling operation of specific internal devices. A first WDT circuit and a second WDT circuit are set to a first timer time and a second timer time according to respective reset signals received from the sub CPU. According to a first interrupt signal output from the first WDT circuit based on expiration of the first timer time, the second timer time is controlled to be extended to a predetermined time and execution of a process for rebooting the controller is controlled. Abstract: According to an embodiment, provided is an information notification system in which a multifunction peripheral including an audio device is associated with external audio devices so that the user of the multifunction peripheral is notified of a message. The information notification system is featured by including a message determiner which determines the contents of the message, a user position detector which detects a position of the user, an output device specifying section which specifies, based on a result of determination by the message determiner and a result of detection by the user position detector, the audio device which outputs the message, and a controller which performs control so that the message is notified from the specified audio device. As the audio device for outputting the message is specified according to the contents of the message, the message is notified from the specified audio device.
