  • Patent number: 10088074
Abstract: Fluid control valve including a valve body having an inlet, an outlet and defining a fluid flow path therebetween. A first valve is adjustable by a first valve actuator between a closed position preventing fluid flow through the first valve and an open position permitting fluid flow. A second valve is associated with the inlet or intermediate the inlet and the first valve, and includes a second valve body and a second valve actuator adapted such that the first valve actuator bears against the second valve actuator in each of the open and closed positions to urge the second valve into an open configuration allowing fluid flow. The first valve actuator is adjustable to a third position in which it is spaced from the second valve actuator by a separation sufficient to allow fluid pressure at the inlet to cause the second valve to close.

  • Patent number: 10070357
Abstract: Techniques described herein may enable Evolved Packet Core (EPC) devices (e.g., Mobility Management Entities (MMEs), Serving Gateways (SGWs), or Packet Data Network Gateways (PGWs)) to transfer a connection with a User Equipment (UE) from one EPC device to another EPC device without a break in service for the UE. The transfer may occur in response to an EPC device being overloaded, an EPC device being added or removed from a logical group of EPC devices, or in response one EPC device becoming more appropriate for the UE than another EPC device (e.g., due to a change in the geographic location of the UE). EPC devices may be implemented as virtual network functions, and the transfer of the UE may occur while the UE is in an active mode or an idle mode.

  • Patent number: 10057013
Abstract: A two-stage signaling concept for a datastream to be transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver is proposed. At the transmitter side, a plurality of frame headers are generated, each frame header including data transmission parameters for payload data. A super-frame header for a super-frame is generated. The super-frame includes a plurality of frames, each frame including one of the frame headers and payload data. The super-frame header indicates a set of super-frame-constant frame header transmission parameters for the frame headers of the plurality of frames of the super-frame. A receiver evaluates the super-frame header of to obtain the super-frame-constant frame header transmission parameters, which are then used to evaluate the plurality of frame headers PLH to retrieve the data transmission parameters. The proposed concept provides added flexibility, less signaling overhead, and/or an option of improved receiver performance at low SNR levels.
