  • Patent number: 10693689
Abstract: In an example of multi-user wireless communications, an access point may send a downlink frame to a first station. The first station may generate and transmit an uplink frame. A second station in a same or different basic service set coverage area as that of the access point performs a clear channel assessment of a medium associated with the station for transmitting a frame without interrupting a frame exchange between the access point and the first station. The second station receives the downlink frame and the uplink frame of the frame exchange. The second station determines a signal measurement of the uplink frame, and determines a status of the medium based on the signal measurement and the downlink frame. The first station may update or ignore a network allocation vector timer based on the status of the medium. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10687306
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for throttling and management of notifications. A rules manager stores definitions of multiple classes of notifications for sending to recipients. Each of the classes has a respective set of throttling parameters that enables notifications in each class to be selectively throttled. A notification monitor monitors the number of notifications in each class transmitted to a plurality of recipients over time. In response to determining that a threshold number of notifications of a class have been transmitted to a recipient during an interval of time, the recipient is placed in a throttled mode for the class that reduces a subsequent number of notifications transmitted to the recipient. The threshold number may be dependent upon a transmission channel of the notification. The recipient is informed of being placed in the throttled mode and provided an indication of where subsequent notifications can be accessed.

  • Patent number: 10687335
Abstract: In a process of beam change, the base station transmits a beam change instruction to a user equipment to confirm a change from a current beam to another beam. The base station determines to change from a first beam to a second beam. The base station generates a beam change instruction to indicate the determination to change from the first beam to the second beam. The base station transmits, to a UE, the beam change instruction in a downlink control information (DCI). The base station determines whether or not the beam change instruction is detected by the UE.

  • Patent number: 10666506
Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for sending network management information in a network. A source edge node modifies data packets by encapsulating an operations, administration and maintenance (OAM) header in a select number of the data packets. The OAM header includes a data type bitmap and a node data list. A valid node bitmap is inserted into the OAM header prior to the node data list, and each bit in the valid node bitmap identifies whether one or more nodes in the network add data to the OAM header. A valid data bitmap is then added into the OAM header for each of the one or more nodes identified as adding data to the OAM header. The valid data bitmap indicates types of data items available at the node. Subsequently, the edge node issues the select data packets to the one or more nodes identified in the OAM header.

  • Patent number: 10666554
Abstract: An Inter-Chassis Link (ICL) failure management system includes a first switch device and a second switch device coupled together by an Inter-Chassis Link (ICL) that is included in a control network and that is configured to provide a primary control channel for transmitting control information between the first switch device and the second switch device. A third switch device is coupled to each of the first switch device and the second switch device by a first aggregated link. When the first switch device determines that the ICL is unavailable, it causes a first port and a second port that provide the first aggregated link to be added to the control network to provide a primary backup control channel. The first switch device may then send control information to the second switch device through the primary backup control channel via the first port and the second port.
