  • Patent number: 11553251
Abstract: This application describes methods, systems, and apparatus for allowing a user to easily determine whether the user and/or other user(s) have viewed content. For example, a program guide may display one or more graphics associated with the content (e.g., a movie poster), and in response to determining whether the user has viewed the content, the program guide may include an indication of whether the user has viewed the content. The program guide may include indications associated with multiple users (e.g., different colors, icons, graphics, or text). The program guide may filter the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., only display content the user has not viewed). A computing device storing the content may manage recording of the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., delete the recording if the user has viewed the content). A viewing history of the user may be maintained.

  • Patent number: 11544218
Abstract: A system for converting a data file in a first format for data serialization into a second format for workflow specification is disclosed. The system comprises one or more processors and non-transitory memory storing instructions. When executed by the one or more processors, the instructions cause the one or more processors to receive a data file in the first format representing a workflow; automatically generate a functionally equivalent workflow specified according to the second format, via consultation with a correspondence table and replacing a set of elements from the first format with a corresponding set of elements from the second format; automatically fill in any default values required in the second format and not specified within the first format; and output the functionally equivalent workflow in the second format. In a preferred embodiment, the first format is JSON and the second format is BPMN 2.0.

  • Patent number: 11543804
Abstract: This invention describes a method for detecting a misconfiguration of a machine function of a first industrial machine (M1). A set (N) of second industrial machines (MS) from said several other industrial machines (MO) is created by identifying a predetermined feature of the first industrial machine (M1) in several other industrial machines (MO). A first configuration value is created, which relates to the machine function of the first industrial machine (M1), and a second configuration value is created which relates to the machine function of the second industrial machines (MS). Depending on a relation of the first configuration value to the second configuration value a deviation value is determined by a configuration anomaly detection module (CADM). For detecting the misconfiguration of the first industrial machine (M1) the deviation value is compared with a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11543834
Abstract: This provides methods and systems for the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) combined with the dead-reckoning (DR) technique, which is expected to provide a vehicle positioning solution, but it may contain an unacceptable amount of error due to multiple causes, e.g., atmospheric effects, clock timing, and multipath effect. Particularly, the multipath effect is a major issue in the urban canyons. This invention overcomes these and other issues in the DR solution by a geofencing framework based on road geometry information and multiple supplemental kinematic filters. It guarantees a road-level accuracy and enables certain V2X applications which does not require sub-meter accuracy, e.g., signal phase timing, intersection movement assist, curve speed warning, reduced speed zone warning, and red-light violation warning. Automated vehicle is another use case. This is used for autonomous cars and vehicle safety, shown with various examples/variations.

  • Patent number: 11537594
Abstract: Herein are quantitative analytics to increase the accuracy of cardinality estimation without increasing sample size. In an embodiment, a computer selects a few sample values from a multiset. A high-frequency exact count of distinct values that have at least a threshold amount of occurrences in the sample values is counted. A low-frequency exact count of distinct values in the sample that do not have at least the threshold amount of occurrences in the sample is counted. Based on multiple binomial probabilities, an upper bound of a count of missing distinct values in the multiset that are not in the sample is calculated. A total count of distinct values (NDV) in the multiset is estimated based on: a) the high-frequency exact count of distinct values, b) the low-frequency exact count of distinct values, and c) the upper bound of the count of missing distinct values in the multiset that are not in the sample.

  • Patent number: 11531664
Abstract: A method for pre-utilizing tables before refresh includes selecting a query for execution in a data analytics application and identifying a table specified by the query, for instance a materialized table. Another operation includes computing an encoding, such as a hash value, for at least one portion of the identified table. Another operation includes comparing the computed encoding to a pre-stored encoding for the at least one portion of the identified table. On the condition that the computed encoding is identical to the pre-stored encoding, the operations include utilizing the identified table in executing the query in lieu of re-materializing the identified table. Otherwise, on the condition that the computed encoding differs from the pre-stored encoding, the operations include re-materializing the identified table before returning the results of the query.

  • Patent number: 11514088
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for aliased data insertions/retrieval for key-value stores. In aspects, a data set comprising a primary key, one or more secondary keys (“aliases”), and data values may be received by a data storage system. The system may allocate an internal identifier to the primary key and store the internal identifier and the primary key in a first table. Each of the secondary keys may be used to create a key-value pair comprising the secondary key and the internal identifier. The key-value pair(s) may be stored in the first table with the corresponding primary key. The internal identifier and the data values may be stored in a second table. Subsequently, the primary or secondary key may be used to interrogate the first table for the internal identifier. The internal identifier may then be used to interrogate the second table for the data values.

  • Patent number: 11514032
Abstract: Techniques for splitting a query into native query operations and post-processing operations are provided. In one embodiment, a user query including a plurality of search parameters is received. Expressions representing the plurality of search parameters in the user query are determined. A first subset and a second subset of the expressions are identified. Each expression of the first subset corresponds to one of a plurality of native query operations executable by a database platform, and each expression of the second subset corresponds to one of a plurality of predefined post-processing operations not executable by the database platform. A database query is generated based on one or more expressions of the first subset, and a post-processing query is generated based on each expression in the second subset. The database query is executed by the database platform, then the post-processing query is executed on the results from database platform.
