Abstract: A method for printing documents includes detecting a trigger event when a portable memory device is communicatively connected to a print device. The print device is in communication with a data store that contains print history identifying one or more files printed using one or more print devices. The method includes receiving an instruction to print a document file stored on the portable memory device, identifying a property associated with the document file, and comparing the property associated with the document file to the print history to determine if a previously printed document in the print history is substantially similar to the document file. If a previously printed document in the print history is substantially similar to the document file, before printing the document causing a user interface to output a prompt that the document file has previously been printed, otherwise causing the print device to print the document.

Abstract: A color conversion method includes: a first acquisition step of acquiring a first color conversion table which defines mapping from a first color space to a second color space, and a second color conversion table which defines mapping from the second color space to a third color space; a second acquisition step of acquiring a color in the second color space to be subjected to color conversion; a computation step of computing an element group and a weight of each element included in the element group; a determination step of determining whether or not the element group in the second color conversion table; and a processing step of performing either first processing of performing inverse conversion and computing the color in the third color space, or second processing of performing an interpolation computation and computing the color in the third color space.

Abstract: A method for managing memory use in a graphics processing system receives a plurality of objects to be reproduced on an output medium, the output medium being divided into a plurality of bands. Objects falling within a band are stored in a corresponding local band memory and shared objects intersecting the band and at least one other band in at least one shared memory arena. Each shared memory arena is associated with a band counter defining the number of bands referencing said shared memory arena. The local band memory is associated with a data structure storing a shared memory arena identifier of the at least one shared memory arena where the shared objects intersecting the band are stored. The method facilitates release of the at least one shared memory arena in response to rasterizing the band selected for rasterizing based on the plurality of shared memory arena identifiers.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a first print medium database storing first print medium data items indicating attributes of a print medium. The information processing apparatus is coupled to a printing device including a second print medium database storing second print medium data items. The information processing apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to determine whether the first and second print medium databases are synchronized with each other; determine whether the second print medium data items stored in the second print medium database are supported in the information processing apparatus, when the first and second print medium databases are determined as not being synchronized with each other; and delete the first print medium data items stored in the first print medium database, and store, in the first print medium database, a second print medium data item determined as being supported.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a table generating unit. The table generating unit, in a Voronoi diagram, obtains empty circles as circles centered at Voronoi seeds of ends of Voronoi sides that intersect with a straight line passing through a largest saturation color and a smallest-saturation and specific-lightness color and passes through generatrices. After the table generating unit sets one of the generatrices shared by the two adjacent empty circles whose radius ratio is outside a specific range as a target point, and causes the radius ratio of the two empty circles to be within the specific range by changing at least one radius of the two empty circles, the table generating unit generates the conversion table that sets a color that corresponds to an intersection point corresponding to the target point among the intersection points of the two empty circles, as the definition colors.

An image forming apparatus includes a flash memory, where a recording area of the flash memory can be regionally switched between a multilevel recording mode and a binary recording mode. The image forming apparatus further includes a history information creating section which creates use history information; a determining section which determines high frequently used data piece or pieces among data pieces stored in the flash memory, while referring to the use history information; and a recording area changing section which changes a size ratio of a region or regions operating in the binary recording mode and a region or regions operating in the multi-level recording mode in the recording area so that at least the determined data piece or pieces can be recorded in the binary recording mode.

Abstract: A black figure specification part of a data processing apparatus specifies a black figure from among a plurality of figures in original image data that represents each figure in a vector format. When the overprint attribute of the black figure is ON, a data processing part adds a new black figure whose overprint attribute is OFF and that indicates a figure central portion of the black figure excluding an outer edge portion of a predetermined width from the edge, to the original image data. When the black figure overlaps with another figure that includes a color other than black, the density of the other color in the area where the figure central portion and the other figure overlap each other is zero in raster data for image recording. This increases the darkness of color of the black figure and reduces the appearance of white streaks around the black figure.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: an operation receiver, an image processor configured to perform image processing to add a digital watermark containing address information of the image processing apparatus to a first image to thereby generate a second image; a communication controller configured to receive a taking-out request to take out the digital watermark contained in the second image from an information processing device; and a storage controller configured to store a log in a storage unit. Abstract: The communication between integrated graphics processing units (GPUs) is disclosed. A first integrated GPU of a first computing device obtains a tuple pertaining to data to be transmitted to a second integrated GPU of a second computing device. The tuple comprises at least a length of the data. The first integrated GPU allocates a virtual address space to the data based on the length of the data, where the virtual address space has a plurality of virtual addresses. Further, a mapping table of a mapping between the plurality of virtual addresses and a plurality of bus addresses is provided by the first integrated GPU to a communication module of the first computing device to transmit the data, where the plurality of bus addresses indicate physical locations of the data.

Abstract: A system and method are presented to allow text-based communication between users concerning an image in the form of an image-message. The originator of the communication uses a mobile device app to select an image and enter appropriate text. The recipient mobile device receives an image-message, and then displays the text superimposed over the image. The recipient can enter reply text, which will then be shown superimposed over the image as part of a message stream. The recipient can also alter the image, with the altered image being transmitted back to the originator. When the reply message is active, the altered image is displayed behind the message stream. The user can select an earlier message in the stream to view the image associated with that earlier message.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for printing in grayscale are disclosed. For example, the method includes receiving a source profile of a color image, converting the source profile into a device specific color space profile, converting the device specific color space profile into a grayscale device specific color space profile that only has black separation values for each output node using a destination profile that is device specific and printing the color image in a grayscale using the grayscale device specific color profile that reproduces a tone of each color of the source profile of the color image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying imposition parameters using dynamically loaded media sizes. A print job is received into a computerized device comprising a marking device. The print job comprises an electronic document and print job attributes and imposition defining an arrangement of images in the electronic document for predefined dimensions of continuous feed print media. A change in print media being fed into the marking device is automatically detected, using the computerized device. The print job attributes are automatically modified, using the computerized device, based on the change in the print media, without further operator intervention.
