  • Patent number: 9607583
Abstract: A display controller device for processing image data has a data processor for generating a display signal. The device has a writeback unit having an input coupled to the display signal and an output coupled to a debug interface. The writeback unit has a slice controller for defining a set of slices of the image and consecutively selecting slices of the set, and a slice selector for sampling pixel data from a selected slice. A slice buffer is coupled between the slice selector and the debug output for temporarily storing the selected pixel data. The slice controller transfers the selected pixel data to the debugger and subsequently selects a next slice until all slices of the set have been transferred. The debug system receives the slices and regenerates and displays the image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptively scanning for one or more beacon devices based at least in part on user activity are provided. More particularly, a user device can scan for one or more beacon devices at a first scan rate. The user device can detect a trigger event based at least in part on data indicative of an activity level, such as data indicative of a status of a display, data determined from one or more motion sensors, a number of beacon devices detected by the mobile device during a time period, data indicative of prior interactions with beacon device information, or data indicative of a charging status of a battery associated with the mobile device. The trigger event can signify a change in an activity level associated with the user device. Responsive to the trigger event, the user device can adjust the scan rate from the first scan rate to a second scan rate.

  • Patent number: 9524735
Abstract: A method for adapting a threshold used in multi-channel audio voice activity detection. Strengths of primary and secondary sound pick up channels are computed. A separation, being a measure of difference between the strengths of the primary and secondary channels, is also computed. An analysis of the peaks in separation is performed, e.g. using a leaky peak capture function that captures a peak in the separation and then decays over time, or using a sliding window min-max detector. A threshold that is to be used in a voice activity detection (VAD) process is adjusted, in accordance with the analysis of the peaks. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9506744
Abstract: A method of combining 2D images into a 3D image includes providing a coordinate measurement device and a triangulation scanner having an integral camera associated therewith, the scanner being separate from the coordinate measurement device. In a first instance, the coordinate measurement device determines the position and orientation of the scanner and the integral camera captures a first 2D image. In a second instance, the scanner is moved, the coordinate measurement device determines the position and orientation of the scanner, and the integral camera captures a second 2D image. A cardinal point common to the first and second images is found and is used, together with the first and second images and the positions and orientations of the scanner in the first and second instances, to create the 3D image.
