Abstract: A method performed by an electronic device is described. The method includes receiving a set of frames. The set of frames describes a moving three-dimensional (3D) object. The method also includes registering the set of frames based on a canonical model. The canonical model includes geometric information and optical information. The method additionally includes fusing frame information of each frame to the canonical model based on the registration. The method further includes reconstructing the 3D object based on the canonical model.

Abstract: A computer system for recycling value instruments in an automated teller machine has a memory storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the system to receive an image of a value instrument obtained by an automated teller machine for deposit. The image of the value instrument is analyzed to determine its condition. Then, based on the condition of the value instrument, it may be determined that the value instrument is suitable for recycling to fulfill withdrawals. Upon determining that the value instrument is suitable for recycling to fulfill withdrawals, recycling of the value instrument by the automated teller machine is initiated and an indication reflecting the recycling is generated so as to influence when a next servicing of the automated teller machine will occur. Related methods and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: Telematics systems and methods are described for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces (GUIs). A telematics cloud platform is configured to receive vehicular telematics data from a telematics device onboard a vehicle. A GUI value compression component determines, based on the vehicular telematics data, a plurality of GUI position values and a plurality of corresponding GUI time values. A geospatial animation app receives the plurality of GUI position values and the plurality of corresponding GUI time values. The geospatial animation app implements an interactive animated GUI that renders a plurality of geospatial graphics or graphical routes on a geographic area map via a display device. The geospatial graphics or graphical routes are rendered to have different visual forms based on differences between respective GUI position values and corresponding GUI time values.

The shaded virtual object is then displayed to the user with the NED.
Abstract: An image forming device includes: an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium in accordance with a JOB; and a controller that controls the image forming unit. The controller is capable of acquiring a read image obtained by reading the image on the transfer medium, and determining failure/no-failure in the image on the transfer medium in accordance with the read image. Abstract: Provided are one or more systems and/or techniques for filtering noise from a space-variant image. For each of the plurality of pixels included in the space-variant image, a variance of the pixel is detected, and a variance reduction power is generated based on a relationship between the detected variance of the pixel and a target variance specified by a user. At least a first defined kernel is selected from a database populated with a plurality of defined kernels that are available to be selected for filtering the image data for the pixel. The image data for the pixel is recursively filtered during a plurality of filter iterations to cause the variance of the pixel to approach the target variance. The first defined kernel is applied to the image data for the pixel during at least one of the filter iterations.

Abstract: For rendering in medical imaging, a transfer function is determined. A simple approach to setting the transfer function uses a combination of a rendered image and the voxel data, providing a hybrid of both image and data-driven approaches. A region of interest on a rendered image is used to select some of the voxel data. A characteristic of the selected voxel data is used to determine the transfer function for rendering another image. Both the visual aspect of the rendered image and the voxel data from the scan are used to set the transfer function.
Abstract: A holster is provided to receive a radio (mobile communications device). The radio is operatively equipped with a front-facing touchscreen. The holster is equipped with an optical reflector. The optical reflector is adapted to change the direction of light rays passing through it in order to reflect only a portion of the front-facing touchscreen to a top window located within the holster. The top window and the touchscreen are substantially perpendicular to each other.
