  • Patent number: 10733432
Abstract: A computer system for recycling value instruments in an automated teller machine has a memory storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the system to receive an image of a value instrument obtained by an automated teller machine for deposit. The image of the value instrument is analyzed to determine its condition. Then, based on the condition of the value instrument, it may be determined that the value instrument is suitable for recycling to fulfill withdrawals. Upon determining that the value instrument is suitable for recycling to fulfill withdrawals, recycling of the value instrument by the automated teller machine is initiated and an indication reflecting the recycling is generated so as to influence when a next servicing of the automated teller machine will occur. Related methods and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10706605
Abstract: Telematics systems and methods are described for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces (GUIs). A telematics cloud platform is configured to receive vehicular telematics data from a telematics device onboard a vehicle. A GUI value compression component determines, based on the vehicular telematics data, a plurality of GUI position values and a plurality of corresponding GUI time values. A geospatial animation app receives the plurality of GUI position values and the plurality of corresponding GUI time values. The geospatial animation app implements an interactive animated GUI that renders a plurality of geospatial graphics or graphical routes on a geographic area map via a display device. The geospatial graphics or graphical routes are rendered to have different visual forms based on differences between respective GUI position values and corresponding GUI time values.

  • Patent number: 10685267
Abstract: An image processing apparatus performs a first generation process generating first partial print data by a first color conversion process using a first profile corresponding to a first direction, and a second generation process generating second partial print data using a second color conversion process using a second profile. When a color difference is smaller than a reference, the apparatus sets a printing direction to the first direction, and outputs the first partial print data to a print execution unit for printing the first partial print data while the main scan moves in the first direction. When the color difference is larger than or equal to the reference, the apparatus sets the printing direction to the second direction, and outputs the second partial print data to the print execution unit for printing the second partial print data while the main scan moves in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 10650579
Abstract: An electronic system for displaying visual information to a user includes a head-mounted display (HMD) including a near-eye display (NED), a microprocessor in data communication with the NED, and a storage device in data communication with the microprocessor. The storage device has instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the microprocessor, cause the microprocessor to perform a method. The method includes identifying an origin point and target point and calculating an object distance between the origin point and the target point in three-dimensional space. The target point is part of a virtual object that is procedurally generated. The object distance is used to adjust a threshold value of a distance test. The method further includes determining a shader value for the target point and applying a shader to the target point to create a shaded virtual object. The shaded virtual object is then displayed to the user with the NED.

  • Patent number: 10636128
Abstract: Provided are one or more systems and/or techniques for filtering noise from a space-variant image. For each of the plurality of pixels included in the space-variant image, a variance of the pixel is detected, and a variance reduction power is generated based on a relationship between the detected variance of the pixel and a target variance specified by a user. At least a first defined kernel is selected from a database populated with a plurality of defined kernels that are available to be selected for filtering the image data for the pixel. The image data for the pixel is recursively filtered during a plurality of filter iterations to cause the variance of the pixel to approach the target variance. The first defined kernel is applied to the image data for the pixel during at least one of the filter iterations.

  • Patent number: 10621480
Abstract: A base toner amount determining unit is configured to determine a base toner amount without taking edge effect into account, the base toner amount corresponding to a pixel value of image data for which gradation correction has not been performed. A laser profile applying unit is configured to perform for the base toner amount a first spatial filter process corresponding to a laser profile of an exposure device. An edge emphasis amount determining unit is configured to perform a second spatial filter process for the base toner amount before the first spatial filter process or after the first spatial filter process and thereby determine an edge emphasis amount corresponding to the edge effect. A toner counter is configured to count as a toner consumption amount a sum of the base toner amount after the first spatial filter process and the edge emphasis amount.

Abstract: A document state management system includes circuitry configured to receive registration of a document, and a memory to store first information and second information. The first information retains identification information of the document in association with a document state relating to the document. The second information retains tracing data for tracing the document state of the document in association with the identification information of the document. The circuitry records the tracing data in a medium and output the medium. The circuitry acquires the tracing data from the medium. The circuitry acquires, from the second information, the identification information of the document associated with the tracing data acquired from the medium. The circuitry acquires, from the first information, the document state of the document associated with the identification information of the document acquired from the second information. The circuitry outputs the document state acquired from the first information.

  • Patent number: 10593099
Abstract: For rendering in medical imaging, a transfer function is determined. A simple approach to setting the transfer function uses a combination of a rendered image and the voxel data, providing a hybrid of both image and data-driven approaches. A region of interest on a rendered image is used to select some of the voxel data. A characteristic of the selected voxel data is used to determine the transfer function for rendering another image. Both the visual aspect of the rendered image and the voxel data from the scan are used to set the transfer function.
