  • Patent number: 11181285
Abstract: A control unit determines, on the basis of a temperature and humidity detected by sensors, whether outdoor air cooling that takes outdoor air into a room is effective. Upon determination that the outdoor air cooling is effective, the control unit opens a damper and causes stoppage of an air supply fan disposed in an air supply path. Due to such operation, indoor air passing through an air discharge path bypasses a total heat exchanger by passing through a bypass air path, and thereby is discharged to the outdoors as exhaust air. However, due to stoppage of the air supply fan, although the outdoor air does not flow through the air supply path, the outdoor air flows into a building from an opening of the building.

  • Patent number: 11172591
Abstract: A frame having a perimeter defines a planar opening. A set of louvers may span from a first edge of the opening to a second edge of the opening. Each louver may be capable of rotating between a closed position and an open position. A set of physical obstructions may prevent the louvers from rotating beyond the open position. Each louver may be offset from the planar opening by a first acute angle when in a closed position, and by a second, larger, acute angle when in the open position. A flow of air in a first direction through the opening may rotate the set of louvers to the closed position. A flow air in the opposite direction through the opening may rotate the set of louvers to the open position such that the flow of air in the opposite direction moves freely through the opening.

  • Patent number: 11161390
Abstract: An air flow control system includes a forming portion, an outside air introduction door, and an air controller. The forming portion forms a front side communication port that communicates between the interior of the vehicle cabin and an engine compartment disposed on the front side in a vehicle traveling direction with respect to the interior of the vehicle cabin and accommodating a traveling engine. The outside air introduction door opens or closes an outside air introduction port to introduce an air flow from an outside of a vehicle cabin into the interior of the vehicle cabin. The air controller controls the outside air introduction door to open the outside air introduction port, and causes the air flow, introduced from the outside of the vehicle cabin into the interior of the vehicle cabin via the outside air introduction port with travel of the vehicle, to be blown from the interior of the vehicle cabin into the engine compartment through the front side communication port.
