Abstract: A switching system having input ports and output ports and comprising an input queued (IQ) switch with virtual channels. Typically, only one virtual channel can, at a given time, access a given output port. Typically, the IQ switch includes an arbiter apparatus that controls the input ports and output ports to ensure that an input port transmits at most one cell at a time, and/or that an output port receives a cell over only one virtual channel, and/or an output port receives at most one cell at a time.

  • Patent number: 11811537
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for a relay UE and a source UE to provide transmissions of uplink communications in a decode and forward procedure in which redundancy version (RV) identifications of each instance of a transmission or retransmission are associated with a particular link of the source UE or relay UE. A set of RV sequences may be configured, with the source UE using a first subset of the RV sequences, and the relay UE using a second subset of RV sequences that is non-overlapping with the first subset. A base station or destination UE that receives the transmissions from the source UE and relay UE may thus receive RVs in accordance with the set of RV sequences.

  • Patent number: 11799795
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to techniques for distributing shaped subinterfaces among physical interfaces of a port channel. Such techniques include receiving a request to configure a shape rate for a port channel subinterface; generating a physical interface set specifying: a first physical interface and a first allocated bandwidth associated with the first physical interface; and a second physical interface and a second allocated bandwidth associated with the second physical interface; making a selection, using the physical interface set, of the first physical interface based on the first allocated bandwidth being lesser than the second allocated bandwidth; assigning the first physical interface as a first anchor interface for the first port channel subinterface; and adding the first shape rate to the first allocated bandwidth to obtain a first new allocated bandwidth for the first physical interface.

  • Patent number: 11792680
Abstract: Some aspects of the present disclosure disclose methods and systems for managing transmission control protocol (TCP) acknowledgements (ACK) transmissions from a host or application processor to a modem of a user equipment. The UE may detect availability of buffer space in a memory buffer of a modem of the UE. Further, the UE may also detect that a host processor of the UE lacks credit sufficient for transmitting data from the host processor to the modem. The UE may then generate and transmit to the host processor a data flow control (DFC) command including credit sufficient for the host processor to transmit at least a portion of the data to the modem. In some instances, in response to the transmission of the DFC command, the at least the portion of the data may be received at the modem from the host processor.

  • Patent number: 11778564
Abstract: A wireless device in an RRC connected state receives a radio resource control (RRC) message from a base station. The wireless device transitions from the RRC connected state to an RRC inactive station in response to the RRC message. The RRC message indicates an active time period in which the wireless device is reachable by paging. The wireless device monitors to receive a paging message during the active time period after the transitioning. The wireless stops monitoring for the paging message in response to the expiration of the active time period.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for discontinuously transmitting/receiving packets for low-power consumption of a terminal in a cellular system for packet transmission. The present research provides a method and apparatus that can perform a low-power consuming operation when a terminal is in active state in a cellular system. The method for discontinuously transmitting/receiving packet data to reduce power consumption of a terminal in a cellular system, including the steps of: a) establishing discontinuous reception/transmission (DRX/DTX) parameters including discontinuous DRX/DTX cycle information for terminals operating in a transmission suspension mode, which is a sub-state of an active state; and b) performing DRX/DTX based on the DRX/DTX parameters in the terminals operating in the transmission suspension mode.

  • Patent number: 11757563
Abstract: A method and system to control modulation and coding scheme (MCS) used for air-interface communication over an air interface between an access node and one or more user equipment devices (UEs) served by the access node. A method includes detecting that a backhaul connection through which the access node communicates is threshold heavily loaded, and, in response, suppressing the MCS used for air-interface communication over the air interface between the access node and one or more UEs served by the access node. Further, the method could apply in a scenario where multiple access nodes share the backhaul connection, in which case one access node could detect that the backhaul connection is threshold heavily loaded and could responsively cause another access node to suppress MCS used for the other access node's air-interface communication.

  • Patent number: 11757671
Abstract: A computer network efficiently provides a multicast network flow to a multicast recipient across a multihomed network element. The multihomed network element includes network devices that receive multicast data from a source of a multicast network flow. Each particular network device that received the multicast data publishes a notification indicating that the multicast network flow is available from the particular network device. The computer network receives a subscription to the multicast network flow from a multicast recipient, and determines whether to bridge the multicast data across the multihomed network element based on a multicast configuration of the computer network. The multihomed network element provides the multicast data to the multicast recipient from at least one of the particular network devices that received the multicast data from the source of the multicast network flow.

  • Patent number: 11758602
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish network connections for long-term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) radio access technologies (RATS) in non-standalone (NSA) E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity (ENDC) operation. The UE includes a multi-antenna array for data and signaling transmissions and receptions over the LTE and NR connections. The UE determines a most efficient antenna of the multi-antenna array for an operating frequency band of the LTE and NR connections, wherein the most efficient antenna is determined based on at least one performance factor for the UE when using the antenna compared to other antennas of the multi-antenna array, evaluates one or more factors for determining whether the LTE RAT or the NR RAT is to use the most efficient antenna and transmits uplink data on the most efficient antenna via either the LTE RAT or the NR RAT based on the evaluated factors.

  • Patent number: 11757551
Abstract: A terminal apparatus includes circuitry and a transmitter. The circuitry, in operation, generates a reference signal using a cyclic shift value and an orthogonal sequence, which are associated with each other. The orthogonal sequence is one of two orthogonal sequences corresponding to a first orthogonal sequence [1, 1] and a second orthogonal sequence [1, ?1]. The cyclic shift value is one of 12 cyclic shift values ranging from 0 to 11. The transmitter, in operation, transmits the reference signal multiplexed with a data signal. Two of the cyclic shift values having a difference of 6 are respectively associated with the two orthogonal sequences.
