Abstract: Two building panels are connected through a column. One panel is bolted to the column, for example by way of fasteners passing through holes in a rib of the panel into threaded inserts in the column. A second panel is also bolted to the column, for example to threaded inserts open to another face of the column. Further panels in an upper or lower story of a building may be connected to the same column such that vertically stacked panels are connected together. In another connection, one end rib of a panel is made to receive a second panel. The second panel can be attached to the end rib of the first panel to make a corner.

  • Patent number: 9399876
Abstract: A bleacher seating system provides a seatback locking and release mechanism that allows for rapid simultaneous repositioning of the seat back portions in each row of seating to aid in setting up and collapsing sets of seating rows. The locking and release mechanism may be actuated to substantially simultaneously unlock all seat back portions in a row from a single location. The bleacher seating system may be readily set up or collapsed by a single operator, such as by manually or remotely unlocking and locking the seat back portions in rows so that the seat backs may be pivoted between raised and lowered positions. Optionally, deck nosemount clamps allow for increased walking space behind the seats and a particularly compact seating storage configuration.

  • Patent number: 9394717
Abstract: During ramming of a metal ground anchor for a fence post by applying force on its top plate, the anchor is often tilted, subsequently resulting in the tilted fence post. The tilt is compensated by utilizing a compensation plate (13), the dimensions and form of which correspond to the dimensions and form of the top plate (11) welded onto the ground anchor (10). The compensation plate is located above the top plate (11) and a post holder (2) is attached thereto. Downwards-protruding mounting flanges (131, 137) are located on two opposite edges of the compensation plate, aligning with downwards-protruding fixing flanges of the top plate. Elongated adjustment slots (132, 133) in the mounting flanges are aligned with holes in the fixing flanges of the top plate, enabling the flanges to be attached with bolts. The adjustment slots allow adjusting the compensation plate before the bolts are tightened.

  • Patent number: 9382721
Abstract: A system of modular components for on-site assembly of a shelter for an above-ground structure to protect the structure from blast, wind, fire or other physical hazards. A pyramidal shelter with triangular or rectangular base is formed by joining side panels to each other. Each side panel includes a triangular frame covered, except at access hatch, observation port and door openings, with either steel plate or diamond steel mesh to which blast-resistant, fire-resistant or other kinds of coatings or panels are applied. A corner anchor assembly to support each corner of a shelter has a lower plate, an overlying split plate, and a pair of upstanding, anchor rods attached to the split plates for insertion into hollow, lower portions of side beams of adjacent side panels. The corner anchor assemblies facilitate expansion of an assembled shelter by addition of more modular components.
