    Abstract: An exercise machine making use of the body weight of an exerciser as a load weight thereof comprises a horizontal base, a vertical bar member, an upper rocking bar member, a lower rocking bar member, a connection bar, a seat pad, a back pad, a handle, a pivoting cross member (V bar) and cushioning members. Unlike a conventional exercise machine, the exercise machine is composed of no weights. The vertical tube bar member is affixed to the base. The position of the upper rocking bar member can be adjusted by adjusting the pivoting position of the connection bar via the shuttle and two key pins. The exerciser can use the machine by sifting, kneeling, or standing on the seat pad of the machine for doing the muscle-building exercise.

Continuous support of the lower back prevents back strain. The articulation of the seatback is coordinated with the movement of the seat. Adjustment is provided to adjust the rate of movement of the seat relative to the seatback. Handles are provided such that the arm muscles can assist the sit-up or crunch movements.

    Abstract: A home exercise device is of greater value when it is capable of multiple functions and can be easily stored when not in use. Lightweight springs are used in place of heavy weight plates to reduce shipping costs and simplify storage. The device also includes a frame that supports a base, providing linear movement of the base relative to the frame. A bar, with spring tension, is coupled to a multi-position lock. This allows the bar to be positioned in a variety of locations relative to the frame and the user, thereby providing a variety of exercises. A head portion is also provided that includes a torsion spring. This spring can be engaged or disengaged from the frame to allow the user to provide spring tension to resist movement of the head portion. The diversity of movable components offers a vast variety of exercises that can be performed on the unit as well as enabling the unit to fold down for storage when not in use.

    Abstract: A balancing board allowing for selection of a desired degree of stability is disclosed. The balancing board has a platform and a hemispherical fulcrum slidably mounted to platform and bifurcated into a pair of pivot members. Each pivot member is independently positionable along an underside of the platform opposite of an engagement surface upon which a user positions themselves to practice balancing training techniques. When the pivot members are slid together, the balancing board is freely pivotable about any axis in the plane of the surface on which the pivot members are resting. Conversely, when the pivot members are spaced apart from each other, the balancing board resists pivoting in a direction aligned with the axis along which the pivot members are slidable.

    Abstract: A device for support and elevation of the lower extremities. More specifically, the invention is a leg elevator that provides calibrated, adjustable support for the upper leg, the lower leg and the foot. The leg elevator is adjustable to many different positions through the use of three independent adjustment mechanisms. The upper leg portion of the leg elevator can be adapted to accommodate people that have upper legs of various lengths. The height of the lower leg portion is also adjustable, and the relative angular position of the upper and lower leg can be varied from a generally flat position, to a substantially bent position. The invention can be used to provide elevation for either leg separately or for both legs simultaneously. The leg elevator is lightweight, easily disinfected, and can be collapsed to a relatively flat position for ease in transport and storage.

The leg section is pivotably connected to the torso section through a number of rods, pivots and levers such that the gap between the seat and torso section remains the same. A push rod is connected to the pivoting leg brace and is in turn connected to a torso bracket through several guide rods and a dog-leg lever. The push rod, guide rods and the dog-leg lever allow the torso section to remain a constant distance from the fixed seat section.
