Abstract: A system and a method are provided for enabling a user to connect a serial port of a device server to a serial device, query and capture data and settings pertaining to the serial device such that the device server can communicate and exchange data with the serial device without requiring customized programming. The device server may periodically query and capture user-specified data from the serial device. A poll configuration feature may be used to specify one or more commands which the device server will periodically query from the serial device. The response to each poll may be further sliced into a multiplicity of smaller portions according to user-specified filter rules. The captured data may be presented to other users online by way of a Web Manager, and the device server may establish machine-to-machine communications by way of XML and a Command Line Interface.

The load balancer elects a master node from a plurality of candidate nodes each time the load balancer receives the election API call.

Abstract: One example method for controlling online meeting attendance includes obtaining meeting information associated with a meeting, the meeting information comprising a meeting identifier; receiving, by a video conferencing system from a client device, a request to join the meeting, the request comprising the meeting identifier; receiving a user identifier corresponding to a user; accessing a set of guest identifiers corresponding to a plurality of meeting guests invited to the meeting; determining that the user is a meeting guest of the plurality of meeting guests based on the user identifier and a correspondence to a guest identifier of the set of guest identifier, wherein the user identifier is not in the set of guest identifiers; and responsive to determining that the user is a meeting guest of the plurality of meeting guests, connecting the client device to the meeting.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide an acceleration management node. The acceleration management node separately receives acceleration device information of all acceleration devices. The acceleration device information includes an algorithm type, an acceleration bandwidth or non-uniform memory access architecture (NUMA). The acceleration management node obtains an invocation request from a client. The acceleration management node queries the acceleration device information to determine, from all the acceleration devices of the at least one acceleration node, a target acceleration device matching the invocation request. The acceleration management node further instructs a target acceleration node to respond to the invocation request.

Abstract: A method of traffic reduction in a mesh computing system (400), the mesh computing system (400) comprising hosts located on edge nodes of the mesh computing system (400) and a central registry located outside the mesh computing system (400), the central registry holding the images. The method comprises, at a first host located at a first edge node, receiving (920) a request from a client for an image, sending (930) a request for the image to at least one other host of the mesh computing system (400). When the first host receives (940) notification that at least a second host holds the image, the first host downloads (960) the image from the second host to the first host. The first host creates (970) a container from the image. A host at a node (636; 700) and a mesh computing system (400) are also provided.

Abstract: A method for managing services in an Edge Computing (EC) system that includes at least a first EC host and an EC management entity configured to control the first EC host to instantiate EC applications using one or more services. The method includes the EC management entity: obtaining service information associated with at least a first service for use by an EC platform or an EC application in an EC host; storing the service information in a central service registry of the EC system; and storing availability information associated with said first service in the central service registry.

Abstract: The present application provides a device for providing control plane (CP) and/or user plane (UP) analytics. The device is configured to obtain information related to a resource and/or a change of a resource related to a CP and/or a UP; perform an analysis based on the obtained information; and generate data based on the analysis. This application also provides a management plane entity, for example, an operation, administration and management (OAM). The management plane entity is configured to provide information related to a resource, wherein the resource is related to a CP and/or a UP to the device for providing analytics.

Abstract: A verifier peer system transmits a request to an application of another peer system to obtain integrity data of the application. In response to the request, the verifier peer system obtains a response that includes kernel secure boot metrics of the other peer system and integrity data of the application and of any application dependencies. If the verifier peer system determines that the response is valid, the verifier peer system evaluates the integrity data and the kernel secure boot metrics against a set of Known Good Values to determine whether the integrity data and the kernel secure boot metrics are valid. If the integrity data and the kernel secure boot metrics are valid, the verifier peer system determines that the other peer system is trustworthy.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by an IMS node for handling data of a UE, in a communication network, wherein the communication network comprises partitioned sets of functionalities of one or more core networks wherein each set of functionalities belongs to a network slice. The IMS node receives, from the UE, a message for registering the UE to the IMS node, wherein the message comprises a slice indication indicating a network slice identity and a UE indication identifying the UE. The IMS node stores a registration of the UE in the IMS node, in addition to a previously stored registration of the UE, with the proviso that the indicated network slice identity differs from a previous network slice identity of the previously stored registration of the UE and thereby allowing parallel active communications using the registration and the previously stored registration.

Abstract: An apparatus, method, system, and computer-readable medium are provided for enhancing the quality of content. A determination may be made that a portion of the content received using a base feed or bitrate completed early. In response to that determination, an attempt may be made to download that portion of the content using a differential bitrate or feed corresponding to a higher quality. Another determination may be made whether the differential bitrate or feed download completed early, and if so, then the differential bitrate or feed may be used as a new base bitrate or feed for downloading additional portions of the content. The differential bitrate or feed download may also provide for a secondary playback of the content at higher quality.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for user-based data tiering. In an example, a computer maintains a first-in-first-out queue that logs a finite set of users that have most-recently modified a file. This queue can be maintained in an extended attribute of an inode that corresponds to a file. A computer can also maintain a policy that defines how to perform storage tiering on a file based on which users have accessed the file. When a tiering operation is performed, the files specified by a corresponding tiering policy can be evaluated for which users have recently accessed them. When a user specified by the tiering policy has recently modified a file, the file can be placed in tiering queue for tiering.

Abstract: Systems and methods are configured to receive an indication that an anchor is to be positioned at a first location on a webpage. An interaction rule associated with the anchor is received, comprising a rule that content is to be displayed in response to the webpage being scrolled to a first position. A preview of the webpage is generated with the anchor at the first location in conjunction with the previewed webpage. Automatically generated code is configured to cause the anchor to be visible at the first location of the webpage when accessed by a user browser. In response to activation of a publication control, the code is embedded in the webpage, wherein in response to a first user browser of a first user device accessing the webpage, and the first user scrolling the webpage to the first position, the content specified by the content specification is rendered.

Abstract: A message composition system to generate and distribute a plurality of messages to individual recipients based on a single message request, wherein each message among the plurality of messages is addressed and sent to a distinct recipient. According to certain embodiments, the message composition system is configured to perform operations that include, receiving a request to generate a message at a client device, causing display of a composition interface in response to the request to generate the message, wherein the composition interface includes a presentation of a menu that includes a list of user contacts, receiving an identification of a plurality of user contacts from among the list of user contacts, and generating a set of messages in response to the identification of the plurality of user contacts, wherein the set of messages are each individually addressed to the users among the plurality of user contacts.

Abstract: A system and a method for facilitating a processing of a service request is provided. The method includes: accessing a plurality of previously received service requests; receiving a first new service request; determining a handling protocol for the first new service request; adding the received first new service request to the plurality of previously received service requests to generate an updated list of open service requests; and displaying a listing of a least a subset of the updated list of open service requests. The handling protocol includes a priority ranking of the first new service request and an identification of a proposed technician for resolving the corresponding problem. The determination of the handling protocol is performed by assigning weights to each of a set of predefined parameters and algorithmically combining the assigned weights to obtain an overall priority score.

Abstract: Methods and systems to detect and resolve failure in a distributed database system is described herein. A first node in the distributed database system can detect an interruption in communication with at least one other node in the distributed database system. This indicates a network failure. In response to detection of this failure, the first node starts a failure resolution protocol. This invokes coordinated broadcasts of respective lists of suspicious nodes among neighbor nodes. Each node compares its own list of suspicious nodes with its neighbors' lists of suspicious nodes to determine which nodes are still directly connected to each other. Each node determines the largest group of these directly connected nodes and whether or not it is in that group. If a node isn't in that group, it fails itself to resolve the network failure.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques that include collecting flow data associated with communications between network devices, and determining, based on the flow data, one or more virtual networks over which the communications are taking place. In one example, this disclosure describes a system configured to perform operations comprising: storing virtual network configuration information associated with a first virtual network and a second virtual network established within a network; collecting underlay flow data associated with communications between a first server and a second server, wherein each of the first server and the second server are implemented as bare metal servers; determining, based on the underlay flow data and the stored virtual network configuration information, that the first server and the second server have communicated over the first virtual network; and generating a user interface.

The computer-implemented method also includes causing a service worker to request an update for the group-based communication browser session module during execution of the group-based communication browser session module. The computer-implemented method further includes receiving the update for the group-based communication browser session during the operation of the group-based communication browser session. The computer-implemented method still further includes caching the update via the service worker. The computer-implemented method also includes restarting the group-based communication browser session module after caching the update.
