In some embodiments, the concentration of metal oxide or alkali metal oxide decreases from the first surface to a point between the first surface and the second surface and increases from the point to the second surface. The concentration of the metal oxide may be about 0.05 mol % or greater or about 0.5 mol % or greater throughout the thickness.

In one embodiment, the compressive stress profile includes a single linear segment extending from the surface to the depth of compression DOC. Alternatively, the compressive stress profile includes two linear portions: the first portion extending from the surface to a relatively shallow depth and having a steep slope; and a second portion extending from the shallow depth to the depth of compression. The strengthened glass has a 60% survival rate when dropped from a height of 80 cm in an inverted ball drop test and an equibiaxial flexural strength of at least 10 kgf as determined by abraded ring-on-ring testing. Methods of achieving such stress profiles are also described.

When the particles have a basal plane, a maximum diameter a in a direction of the basal plane, and a thickness c perpendicular to the basal plane, a/c is 30 or more on average, and a content of the particles is more than 40 mass % and 90 mass % or less. Since the composition includes the particles having a particular shape, when it is formed into a sheet, an anisotropic heat conductive path can be efficiently created therein. Thus, the present invention can provide a molded product in sheet form, suited to have therein a heat conductive path capable of dispersing heat from a high temperature region to a low temperature region.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of producing “a ceramic green bonded compact in which a ceramic green film is bonded on each bonding surface of a ceramic green substrate having hole portions,” the method imparting good adhesiveness to a thin green film while suppressing the green substrate from having deformation. In this method, first, a layer of a paste for bonding is formed on each bonding surface of green sheets prepared. Next, each bonding surface of the green sheets on which the paste layer is formed is brought into contact, in a state in which the paste layer is wet, with each bonding surface of a porous ceramic green substrate prepared. While this state is maintained, pores in the green substrate absorb a dispersion medium in the paste layer in the wet state. As a result, the paste layer is dried, thereby completely bonding the green substrate and the green sheets.
