Abstract: Printers capable of determining a media type of a media and associated methods are provided. An example method includes scanning a media with a verifier associated with the printer to generate at least two consecutive windows of the media. The example method further includes determining a vertical length of a captured image based on a comparison of image characteristic values captured in the at least two consecutive windows. The example method further includes determining a media characteristic associated with the media based at least on the captured image and the vertical length and one or more stored media profiles. The example method further includes calibrating the printer based on the media characteristic.

Abstract: A mobile device generates and transmits to a print cloud server application via email, a print cloud request that specifies information to be printed. The print cloud server application generates and assigns a print job to a printing device group that corresponds to the destination email address of the print cloud request. A user is authenticated at a printing device and the printing device generates and transmits, to the print cloud server application, a request for print jobs. The request for print jobs includes user information that identifies the user and data that identifies the printing device group for the printing device. The print cloud server application provides, to the printing device, data that identifies print jobs that correspond to both the user information and the printing device group. The user selects one or more of the print jobs and the selected print jobs are released to the printing device.

When an instruction for using a blockchain service is received from a user, after electronic data transmitted by the transmitting unit is stored in a management service, the blockchain cooperation unit transmits, to the blockchain service, information about the electronic data including information indicating that storing of the electronic data transmitted by the transmitting unit has been completed.

Abstract: A disclosed scaler resource includes a color management module configured to support two or more color space transformations and two or more color temperature adjustment profiles and to receive first pixel data and perform color processing of the first pixel data to produce second pixel data. The color processing includes a color space transformation in accordance with any of the supported color space transformation matrices and a color temperature adjustment in accordance with any of the supported color temperature adjustment profiles. The color processing is configured wherein a ratio of primary colors produced by performing the color processing on first pixel data corresponding to any primary color is independent of the selected color temperature adjustment profile. The color space transformation may be performed before or after the color temperature adjustment. When performed before, the color transformation matrix is modified to reflect the color temperature adjust profile.
