  • Patent number: 7354558
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification system includes a honeycomb structural member and a center electrode. The honeycomb structural member is disposed in an exhaust emission flow path from an engine. The center electrode extends along an axis of the honeycomb structural member from an upstream side thereof. A voltage of a polarity opposite from the polarity of the honeycomb structural member is applied to the center electrode. Sub-electrodes are further provided for controlling an electric field between the center electrode and the honeycomb structural member.

  • Patent number: 7335340
Abstract: A flue gas desulfurization apparatus includes at least one activated carbon fiber board 20 provided in a catalyst unit 6, the board being formed by alternatingly juxtaposing one or more plate-like activated carbon fiber sheets and one or more corrugated activated carbon fiber sheets so as to provide vertically extending conduits, wherein water for producing sulfuric acid is supplied, through a capillary phenomenon, to the activated carbon fiber board 20 provided in the catalyst unit 6. The flue gas desulfurization apparatus attains removal of sulfur oxides (SOx) by adding a minimum required amount of water to the activated carbon fiber board 20 so as to attain uniform water distribution and can reduce the amount of water required for removing sulfur oxides (SOx).

  • Patent number: 7303733
Abstract: The present invention concerns a gas/liquid(s) separation system constituted by three different sections: a primary separator (1) for flows with a G/L in the range 0.1 to 10; a secondary separator (2) for flows with a G/L in the range 10 to 50; a system (3) which limits the formation of a liquid vortex; where G/L is the ratio of the gas to liquid mass flow rates.

  • Patent number: 7273505
Abstract: A hydrogen generator comprises therein a reformer, a Shifter, a material flow passage with first evaporator through which a material is supplied to the reformer, a reformed gas flow passage for leading the reformed gas derived from the reformer to the Shifter, a shifted gas flow passage through which a shifted gas derived from the Shifter is taken out, and second steam flow passage formed adjacent to the reformed gas flow passage to be located at upstream side of the Shifter. The second evaporator is provided within the second steam flow passage. A part of heat of the reformed gas is recovered as latent heat by the second evaporator. Thereby, temperature of the Shifter is controlled.

  • Patent number: 7273592
Abstract: A combination exhaust gas post treatment/muffler device in the exhaust gas section of an internal combustion engine is provided. The exhaust gas post treatment within the muffler, which forms sulfuric acid, takes place in at least one exhaust gas post treatment/muffler module, and only that housing thereof through which flows exhaust gas that is to be cleaned is produced from ferritic or austenitic stainless steel, thus making it possible to produce the outer walls of the muffler, as well as any inner element thereof, such as a transverse wall, that is disposed externally of the exhaust gas post treatment/muffler module of unalloyed sheet steel that is coated with aluminum or some other material.
