  • Patent number: 12315196
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for determining the position of a first point in space. A three-dimensional point cloud is generated that comprises a plurality of data points each defining a range from the first point in space to another point in space in a region around the first point. A two-dimensional image is captured of an area including at least some of the points to which ranges have been defined. One or more objects each corresponding to a landmark are identified in the two-dimensional image, and one or more of the data points are mapped to each object. A range to each of the one or more landmarks is determined based on the ranges defined by data points mapped to the objects. A position of the first point in space is then obtained based on known positions of the landmarks using trilateration.

  • Patent number: 12299930
Abstract: In one or more implementations, body features of a subject can be tracked and a pose estimation produced using an unconstrained video sequence. The video sequence constitutes a physical record of the body features of the subject. A set of 2D coordinates corresponding to the body features of the subject can be received from a first neural network and 2D Keypoints are detected and transmitted to a second neural network. The second neural network can return corresponding depth estimation values, which can be processed to generate a set of 3D coordinates that correspond to the body features of the subject in camera space. Furthermore, one or more non-linear optimizations can be applied to fit a predetermined skeleton to the generate 3D Keypoints, and produce the pose estimation corresponding to the body features of the subject.

  • Patent number: 12299568
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for facial landmark detection using a convolutional neural network (CNN). The CNN comprises a first stage and a second stage where the first stage produces initial heat maps for the landmarks and initial respective locations for the landmarks. The second stage processes the heat maps and performs Region of Interest-based pooling while preserving feature alignment to produce cropped features. Finally, the second stage predicts from the cropped features a respective refinement location offset to each respective initial location. Combining each respective initial location with its respective refinement location offset provides a respective final coordinate (x,y) for each respective landmark in the image. Two-stage localization design helps to achieve fine-level alignment while remaining computationally efficient.

  • Patent number: 12293523
Abstract: Described herein is a computer implemented method for automatically generating a cropped version of an input image. The method includes processing the input image to detect a salient region of the input image and generating a set of crop candidates based on the salient region of the input image, each crop candidate defining a different image crop. A set of candidate scores is calculated, each corresponding to a crop candidate, and a first crop candidate is selected based on the set of scores. The cropped version of the input image is then generated based on the image crop defined by the first crop candidate.

  • Patent number: 12294412
Abstract: Disclosed are a signal demodulation method and apparatus, a computer storage medium and a device. The method comprises: acquiring a signal to be demodulated; performing direct current blocking and bias processing on the signal to obtain a processed signal; comparing the processed signal with a preset decision signal, and obtaining a demodulation signal according to a comparison result. Thus, direct current blocking processing on a modulation signal can avoid dynamic changes of DC components caused by average power changes of carrier signals, avoiding wrongly demodulating the modulation signal. Bias processing after the direct current blocking on the modulation signal can further realize an AC signal decision without introducing a negative pressure source. A real-time decision on the processed signal via the preset decision signal can dynamically adapt the average power of carrier signals, thereby ensuring to correctly demodulate the modulation signal and improving the accuracy of demodulation results.

  • Patent number: 12288331
Abstract: Methods and systems for obtaining synthesized images are disclosed. To obtain synthesized images, an imaging system may obtain areas of interest associated with an image. The areas of interest may be keyed to various processes and/or services. A downstream consumer of the services may retrieve the areas of interest to perform further analysis. In order to more easily interpret the areas of interest, the areas of interest may be displayed to the downstream consumer as part of a synthesized image. The synthesized image may include the areas of interest and a synthesized environment. The synthesized environment may be intended to emulate an environment in which the downstream consumer may expect to find the areas of interest. By doing so, the downstream consumer may be able to understand and contextualize the areas of interest more easily than if viewing the areas of interest alone.

  • Patent number: 12273145
Abstract: A forward optical intensity modulation signal, generated by optical intensity-modulating a laser signal using a forward microwave phase modulation signal, is transmitted from a base to a remote station. A backward microwave phase modulation signal, in which frequency of the forward microwave phase modulation signal is changed by demodulating the forward optical intensity modulation signal, is generated, and a backward optical intensity modulation signal, generated by optical intensity-modulating the laser signal using the backward microwave phase modulation signal, is transmitted from the remote station to the base. The backward microwave phase modulation signal is extracted by photoelectric converting the backward optical intensity modulation signal, a round trip timing is extracted by demodulating the backward microwave phase modulation signal, and transmission delay is determined from a difference between the timing and the round trip timing.
