  • Patent number: 11377371
Abstract: A system and method of the purification of drinking water, ethanol and alcohol beverages is based on the action of hydrodynamic cavitation processing of microbiological and chemical contaminants, micro particles and colloidal particles. The fluid flow moves at a high rate through a multi-stage cavitation device and filtration module to generate hydrodynamic cavitation features in the fluid flow. The cavitation features generate changes in the velocity, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and physical properties of the liquid. The cavitation features also prevent the deposition of contaminants upon and remove contaminants from the surface of the filter module, reduce the load on the filter elements and increase the life of the filter module.

  • Patent number: 11351489
Abstract: A retrofit no filter no run insert for existing filtration systems manufactured without a no filter no run engine integrity protection feature. The insert is beneficial for a manufacturer that initially does not require the benefit of a no filter no run engine integrity protection feature but later requires such a feature. The insert can be installed into the existing filtration system without any modification to the existing filtration system head. The no filter no run insert prevents the equipment supplied by the filtration system (e.g., an internal combustion engine) from being operated without a filter element. Further, the no filter no run insert prevents the equipment supplied by the filtration system from being operated with an unauthorized or non-genuine replacement filter element. The no filter no run insert safeguards against damage to downstream components of the filtration system and malfunctions of equipment in which the filtration system is used.

  • Patent number: 11346093
Abstract: Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) events require certain minimum treatment, before discharge, according to EPA regulations. However, these events are infrequent, and CSO treatment systems remain idle most of the time. Tertiary filtration is typically used to polish off the secondary treated water in order to remove suspended matter, phosphorous, etc. Tertiary systems are usually designed to handle design flows and remain active most of the time. These are two independent unit operations requiring major capital investment and operational expense. According to this invention an interchangeable system is able to switch a tertiary treatment reactor back and forth between two applications ensuring seamless operation, smooth transition and significant cost savings for treatment facilities.
