Abstract: A collaborative information management program is provided, which supports interaction by an account with a plurality of chat rooms. The program is configured to establish or define a meta-room that aggregates content posted to a set of chat rooms of the plurality of chat rooms. The program provides instructions to display user interfaces that provide user functionality to view content in the meta-room and access chat rooms to interact therewith.

Abstract: A data processing method is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining access to a digitally stored video program and causing playing the video program in a player window of a second computer, the player window including a linear graphical timeline representing the video program; receiving from the second computer location input data specifying a point in the video program and determining a time value of the point; receiving comment type input data indicating a particular comment type among a plurality of comment types; receiving comment input data; creating and storing a record that associates an identifier of the video program, the time value, the comment type input data, and the comment input data; causing displaying, in the timeline at a position that is proportional to the point, a marker having a particular distinctive appearance from among a plurality of distinctive appearances that correspond respectively to the plurality of comment types.

Abstract: A music-based social networking application for computers and mobile devices displayed on a user interface that provides users with a variety of social networking tools and functions. The user interface displays media content shared by associated users on the user interface. The application allows users to pair their own video/photos to musical works available on any streaming source to share within the app or on external media outlets. The application connects data through the use of a server and media is either streamed from server-held content or an external streaming source. A user's social activity is stored in the server and music listening history in app or on external streaming source is made available to said user for later use. The application utilizes a proprietary algorithm that suggests music and users based on actual in app activity and music/media play history.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for providing a chat device through a tactile interface device connected to the computing device to interact with a user, and more particularly, the chat module includes: an account management module for managing a user account of a user; a chat partner management module for managing one or more chat partners registered in the user account; a chat room management module for managing a chat room where the registered one or more chat partners are present; a chat conducting module for conducting a chat with chat room participants including the one or more chat partners in the chat room; and a tactile user interface (TUI) module for converting display data displayed on a screen of the computing device into an output signal for implementing a tactile screen of the tactile interface device.

Abstract: Disclosed are a display device capable of voice recognition and a control method thereof. A display device, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a display module which displays, on a first region, at least one icon arranged in a preset order; a sensing module which senses an action for entering a voice command mode; a memory for storing at least one item of data; and a controller which refers to the memory, and extracts text corresponding to the icon that is displayed on the first region, wherein the controller controls such as that the extracted text is displayed on a second region, and, if a voice command corresponding to the text displayed on the second region is recognized, the icon displayed on the first region is activated.

Abstract: An environmental pertinence interface generated by an example apparatus, method, and computer program product is provided. The apparatus receives an interface request from a mobile device and location data relating to the mobile device. The apparatus queries a database to identify environmental objects that satisfy a proximity threshold. The apparatus identifies environmental pertinence digital content items when the proximity threshold is satisfied. The apparatus applies user permissions rules to determine a user-permitted environmental pertinence digital content item set and generates an environmental pertinence interface for display by the mobile device.

Abstract: A mechanism for determining whether a user should be using a single-hand virtual keyboard for a large-format touch screen device is provided. Additionally, a mechanism is provided to determine whether the single-hand virtual keyboard should be configured for a left-handed or a right-handed user. Further, a mechanism is provided to determine an appropriate size for the single-hand virtual keyboard for a particular user. In this manner, embodiments provide an input mechanism that allows for efficient and comfortable typing on a large-format touch screen device.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a system comprising an extended reality (XR) display device configured to display an XR interface to a user; at least one hardware processor communicatively coupled to the XR display device and configured to perform: receiving a model of a room; receiving a plurality of furniture models corresponding to a plurality of pieces of furniture; providing the XR interface using the model of the room and the plurality of furniture models at least in part by: displaying, via the XR display device, a furniture display comprising at least some of the plurality of furniture models and a search field to permit entry of text; detecting entry of a text string into the search field; identifying, using the text string, at least one furniture model from the plurality of furniture models; and displaying, via the XR display device, the at least one furniture model in the furniture display.

Abstract: A system, method, and electronic device for providing concomitant augmentation via learning interstitials for publications includes activating a scan mode, where the scan mode causes a camera to capture image data; determining the presence of a publication captured in the image data; and analyzing the image data to determine the presence of an augmented reality (AR) identifier. In response to identifying the presence of the AR identifier within the publication captured in the image data, the image data and an AR link that corresponds to the AR identifier is displayed as an AR overlay to the image data of the publication. In response to failing to identify the AR identifier within the publication, a user is prompted to input a page number of the publication; and the AR link that corresponds to the page number of the publication input by the user is displayed in a list view.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods are disclosed for providing a graphical user interface for tagging external content. In accordance with some embodiments, a method is provided for tagging content external to a database system. The method comprises accessing the external content of an electronic device. The method may comprise enhancing the web browser by providing a tagging interface for tagging at least a portion of the external content. The method may further comprise receiving created tag associated with a tagged portion of the external document content, and exporting the external content and the received tag to the database system. The tagging interface can also provide an option to export the created tag to an internal database system.

The display apparatus includes: a display; a sensor sensing a user touch on the display; and a processor configured to execute a writing function corresponding to a first touch when the first touch is sensed through the sensor and executing a function corresponding to a second touch of a user at a coordinate value at which the second touch is sensed in response to the second touch when the second touch is sensed in a predetermined range of the first touch based on a coordinate value at which the first touch is sensed during a period in which the first touch is input.

Abstract: In embodiments of statistics value chart interface row mode drill down, a first interface is displayed in a table format that includes columns each with field values of an event field, and each column having a column heading of a different one of the event fields, and includes rows each with one or more of the field values, where each field value in a row is associated with a different one of the event fields, and each row includes an aggregated metric that represents a number of events having field-value pairs that match all of the one or more field values listed in a respective row and the corresponding event fields listed in the respective columns. A row can be emphasized in the first interface, and in response, a menu is displayed with selectable options to transition to a second interface that displays a listing of the events based on a selected one of the options.

Abstract: In embodiments of objects alignment and distribution layout, an object layout interface includes objects displayed for selection and manipulation. A layout algorithm receives a reposition input for a selected object in the object layout interface, and determines a distribution layout and/or an alignment layout of the objects. The layout algorithm positions the selected object equidistant between at least two of the objects or at a distance from a closest one of the objects, the distance being an equivalent distance of a space between the at least two objects. The space between the objects is displayed as positive space that visually indicates the equidistance between the objects. Alternatively or in addition, the layout algorithm positions the selected object in alignment with multiple objects, and an alignment indication, such as an edge line and/or a distance measurement, is displayed for each instance of the selected object being aligned with the multiple objects.

Abstract: A user interface overlay is presented over a native graphical user interface (GUI) of a device. By way of example, the overlay can include a graphical presentation layer (GPL) that can selectively mask and/or expose functionality of the native GUI of the device. In addition, the GPL can bundle disparate portions of native functionality in accord with one or more logical associations between a title, tag, application, purpose, type, or like qualifier, associated with the disparate portions. In addition, user preferences and device/network intelligence components can dynamically customize portions of the GPL to match a location, locale, mood, or setting or like situational context of a device and/or user.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for transferring notifications between multiple computing devices. A notification is provided for display at a first computing device associated with a user account. An indication is received of a user gesture for moving the notification to a second computing device associated with the user account, the second computing device being remote from the first computing device. In response to the indication, the notification is provided to the second computing device for display at the second computing device and removed from the first computing device so that the notification is no longer displayed at the first computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for storing data representing respective sub-elements of a complex task. Data representing one or more links between two or more sub-elements is stored, the links indicating a dependency between said sub-elements. A work order is calculated based on the identified links. A graphical representation of the calculated work order which indicates said sub-elements and their dependencies is provided. The links may indicate a temporal dependency of a second sub-element on a first sub-element and in which the provided graphical representation presents the temporal relationship of the sub-elements. Historical data may be received for association with one or more selected links or sub-elements, the historical data related to a prior event and which affects the temporal relationship between the sub-elements. An updated work order modified by the historical data may be calculated. An updated graphical representation of the work order may be provided.

Abstract: A navigational user interface element includes a navigational bar displaying thereon labels associated with a plurality of sections, and a highlight indicating a section of a page that a user is currently viewing. The navigational user interface element is configured to allow a user to click on the highlight and drag it to effect navigation to a section associated with a displayed label. The navigational user interface element is configured to, when the highlight is clicked and dragged and then released, snap the highlight to the section label the highlight is closest to when the highlight is released, and display that same section. The navigational user interface element is configured to, when a label is clicked, effect navigation to the section corresponding to that label.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to operating a user interface on an augmented reality computing device comprising a see-through display system. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes receiving a user input selecting an object in a field of view of the see-through display system, determining a first group of commands currently operable based on one or more of an identification of the selected object and a state of the object, and presenting the first group of commands to a user. The method may further include receiving a command from the first group of commands, changing the state of the selected object from a first state to a second state in response to the command, determining a second group of commands based on the second state, where the second group of commands is different than the first group of commands, and presenting the second group of commands to the user.
