  • Patent number: 9682278
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a base having a rear end and a front end. A support extends upright from the front end of the base and supports a handle assembly disposed at an elevated location relative to the front end of the base. A framework, between the rear end of the base and the front end of the base, is mounted to the rear end of the base for movement of the framework between a lowered inclined position relative to the rear end of the base and a raised inclined position relative to the rear end of the base, and for side-to-side pivotal movement of the framework about a longitudinal axis. Opposed foot supports are mounted to the framework on either side of the longitudinal axis for movement in reciprocal directions relative to the handle assembly.

  • Patent number: 9675829
Abstract: An adjustable pull-up device for use as part of a comprehensive fitness routine, including upper body and core strengthening, and balance training. The device transitions easily between traditional and modified fitness training exercises. The device includes a pair of support mechanisms and a bridge extending therebetween. The pair of support mechanisms each include at least one expandable leg. When the device is deployed, the legs selectively expand and contract for performing exercises, such as a pull-up, when the user lies between the legs. In an example embodiment, the device includes tripod legs for added stability of the device. In another example embodiment, the legs are pivotally coupled to the bridge to enable the collapsibility and storage of the device. The device can include a plurality of hooks for coupling supplementary fitness equipment to further enable variable forms of fitness training.

  • Patent number: 9675861
Abstract: Disclosed is a swim trainer using a laterally displaceable torso support pad and two cables interconnecting the swimmer's opposite hands and feet: right hand with left foot, left hand with right foot. It incorporates tension physics with applied tension force displacement wherein the torso is supported with two degrees of motion, i.e., hinged front-to-back tilt and left-to-right displacement of the torso. The user's opposite hands and feet are interconnected by cables passing through pulleys located below the torso. As the user performs a simulated swim stroke, force is asserted on the cable ends, moving the entire body to the right or left along a defined lateral displacement path. The user controls the swimming stroke speed, therefore controlling the amount of resistance applied between hands and feet based on the lateral motion torso speed against torso weight pressing down on the central support.

  • Patent number: 9675838
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus. The exercise apparatus includes a platform with an endless belt. The endless belt defines an exercising space above it. A restricting device has a retaining portion, a left restricting portion and a right restricting portion. The two restricting portions are elongated and flexible, such as straps. The left restricting portion is connected to a left end of the retaining portion from a left rear of the exercising space. The right restricting portion is connected to a right end of the retaining portion from a right rear of the exercising space. The restricting device maintains the retaining portion at an appropriate position to make the retaining portion naturally abut against a waist of the user for resisting forward movement of the user toward a front side of the exercising space and allowing the user to sprint or quick run on the platform.

  • Patent number: 9643043
Abstract: A method with associated device for exercising core muscles of a patient who must maintain core strength or rebuild it from a very low level. The device has two handles separated by a transmission bar. A first handle is provided for the caregiver to hold, with both hands, and the opposing handle is provided for the patient to hold, again with both hands. The device enables the patient to pull herself from a supine position to a sitting position as the caregiver holds it stationery or, if the patient is lacking strength, to move the device slowly away from the patient. The caregiver can stand close to the bed corners and repeat the process to enable the patient to gain strength in the oblique muscles necessary to initiate rolling on the bed. The device, when used interactively with the patient, encourages the patient and provides feedback to the caregiver regarding the patient's fatigue level.
