  • Patent number: 9545540
Abstract: A physical exercise apparatus and method of using the same targets the balanced development of a user's deltoid, pectoralis or upper pectoralis muscles by providing for a user to perform a target, upper body, weight lifting exercise with a resistance load, such as with a barbell, while the user simultaneously performs a distraction exercise of cycling with the legs. The distraction exercise inhibits the muscles of the lower body from assisting the upper body with the target exercise. The apparatus includes a seat or bench for a user to perform the weight lifting and cycling in one of a seated position, a supine position, and a partially supine position. The apparatus also includes a single or multi-level support for holding the resistance load adjacent the seat or bench, and movable foot pedals that are adjustable to a selected location in a two-dimensional plane at which the user performs cycling.

  • Patent number: 9545534
Abstract: An apparatus for holding a medicine ball includes an adjustable holder for receiving medicine balls of different sizes and a pair of adjustable straps for securing the holder to different portions of a user's body. In some embodiments, the holder comprises adjustable bands, the length of which can be adjusted to adjust the size of the holder. The bands define a holder interior for receiving the medicine balls. The apparatus can include first and second adjustment plates positioned at opposite ends of the holder to secure the holder to the two straps. Each adjustable strap loops through slots in the plate and fastens to itself to secure the holder to a body portion. Bands of the holder can loop through slots in the plate and fasten to themselves to secure the holder around a medicine ball.

  • Patent number: 9539468
Abstract: An assisting instrument allows a person to effectively train their core muscles by movements in twisting directions or one leg raises, and allows the twisting movements to be made in a prone posture. A first body part is comprised of a rectangular parallelepiped part and an integrated semicircle pillar section. When the assisting instrument is used during workouts in the prone posture, the person's two anterior superior iliac spines and pubis part are protected by a first pad, a second pad, and a third pad, respectively, and their abdomen is fitted into a groove part. When the person raises one of their legs, the semicircle pillar section rolls to the opposite side. As a result of holding their body to prevent the rolling and prevent their body from being thrown out of the instrument, the person puts their strength in their core muscles which can thus be trained.

  • Patent number: 9539483
Abstract: A climbing hold and a rock climbing system for use in rock climbing are disclosed. The climbing hold includes a climbing hold body which is provided with a conductive film and a circuit board. The rock climbing system includes a climbing wall, a main control unit, a control terminal, and a plurality of climbing holds. The main control unit includes a circuit board containing a microcontroller unit (MCU). The climbing hold circuit board and the main circuit board are electrically connected. The control terminal and the main control unit are electrically connected. When the climbing hold is being touched, the conductive film and the static electricity capacity of human body combine to cause a change in electrostatic capacity. The climbing hold circuit board can detect such a change instantaneously and send a status signal to the control terminal. Analysis can be performed by monitoring the status of every climbing hold.
