  • Patent number: 9770139
Abstract: A prefabricated shower bench for installation in a tiled shower includes an upper surface having a plurality of peripheral edges, and at least three sidewalls. Each sidewall has an upper edge and a lower edge. Each upper edge is connected along a corresponding peripheral edge of the upper surface. The lower edge of each sidewall terminates in a common plane. One sidewall includes a setback area along the entire lower edge which has a height greater than the height of a sidewall of a prefabricated shower module. The upper surface is horizontal or pitched downwards toward the shower module when the shower bench is installed adjacent to the sidewall of the shower module such that the sidewall of the shower module resides within the setback area, thereby preventing the weight of the shower bench from resting on the sidewall of the shower module.

  • Patent number: 9761990
Abstract: Embodiments include a water bonding device for electrically grounding a swimming pool. One embodiment includes a bonding electrode installed in a pool skimmer or pump strainer. The bonding electrode typically resides in a skimmer or strainer cavity, and a ground conductor coupled directly to the electrode extends out of the skimmer or strainer through a port. A plug assembly forms a water tight seal against the port and the ground conductor, providing a water tight access point for the ground conductor to enter the pool skimmer or pump strainer. The ground conductor is typically electrically connected to both the bonding electrode and a ground pole residing at ground potential.

  • Patent number: 9752308
Abstract: An improved plunger having a true arch configuration and defining an interior cavity provides a body having a convexly dome shaped upper portion and a rectilinear truncated conic shaped bottom portion that defines a bottom orifice. Axial downward pressure exerted or a handle communicating with a handle attachment carried by the dome shaped upper portion causes the body to collapse to forcefully expel contents of the interior cavity outwardly through the bottom orifice and into a pipe or plumbing fixture. A flexible resiliently deformable exterior lip circumscribing the bottom orifice prevents leakage and the truncated conic shape of the bottom portion fluidically seals a toilet siphon jet to prevent loss of plunger pressure when removing clogs and obstructions.

  • Patent number: 9739045
Abstract: A concealed-shower drain assembly has a rigid vertical flange continuously joined in fixed orientation along one side of a rigid horizontal deck member. An opening in the horizontal deck leads to a sealed drain box on the underside of the deck. A drain pipe at the bottom of the drain box provides egress of waste shower water from the drain box. A removable access panel is supported in the deck opening by a plurality of support posts affixed to the interior wall of the drain box. A continuous gap between the periphery of the access panel and the sides of the opening in the horizontal deck provides a flow path for shower waste water into the drain box. The drain assembly can be securely attached in place in a shower stall by nailing or screwing the rigid vertical flange directly to the framing of the shower stall.

  • Patent number: 9725893
Abstract: A system for flushing a toilet having a pump in fluid communication with a floatable, adjustably buoyant container by being connected with a tube to such floatable, adjustably buoyant container. The floatable, adjustably buoyant container is located inside the water tank of a toilet having a flapper covering the discharge hole in the tank of the toilet and is attached to such flapper. The pump provides a fluid less dense than water to the floatable, adjustably buoyant container and thereby raise the flapper and allow water to proceed through the discharge hole. When the fluid is allowed to leave the floatable, adjustably buoyant container, the flapper is lowered and again seals the discharge hole. An optional embodiment withdraws fluid from a normally inflated resilient container seated within the discharge hole to diminish the size of such normally inflated resilient container and thereby permit water to flow through the discharge hole.
